The United Earth Sphere Alliance was big and had achieved a lot over its short life. However to proceed it had to expand as such a message was send to the Hanseatic Commonwealth in the hopes it would allow for an area close to the equator to launch.

To the Hanseatic Commonwealth,

Greetings, I am General Hammond currently in charge of the United Earth Sphere Alliance. I would like to invite a representative of your nation to Santiago for a meeting about a potential cooperation between your nation and our organization. If you accept you will be welcomed at Santiago International within the Phoenix Empire.

It would be an honor to meet your acquaintance in Santiago, General. I'm afraid to admit my own faults but besides land I unfortunately do not know what else the Hansa can truly provide your Empire. However, I know well of your organization and believe in the necessity of space development. If you are willing to include the Hansa like this, then it would be foolish of us, not to accept. I will come myself to meet with you and begin talks between your organization and our nation. In addition, if it were to be possible to meet with Phoenician political representatives as well. Hanseatic-Phoenician relations are dubious at best and during the Tintagyl Era your people and our own were steadfast allies. I would like to see that returned and if this can be arranged I will be ever humbled.

A day later, Lady Hannah's private jet touched down in Santiago International airport to meet with the representatives of the Phoenix Empire.

Upon arrival a car and 2 guards awaited the important guest.

"If you would like to follow me, the representatives from the government and UESA are waiting"the highest of the 2 said. Once they were in the car it departed for a large building just outside of Santiago with the name of the organization in large. The guards at the gate were not wearing the traditional uniform of the Phoenix Empire but rather one made by the UESA.

The car went in slowly where Hannah was escorted to the conference room at the top floor. At the table both the General and Empress were seated.

From her aircraft, Hannah was taken by town car through the city towards a large skyscraper that dominated the skyline of the countryside around it. She had never been to the Empire personally and already was impressed with what she saw. The city of Santiago itself, the people, domestic development, everything was high-class and offered the greatest standard of living someone could conceive. So by the time that she was taken out of the limousine, taken upstairs through the building by the USEA guards and entered into a room with the Empress and the man who was apparently General Hammond, Hannah was already a bit dashed. She walked in with a smile on her face and her eyes as hard as diamonds, bowing to both the General and the Empress before even touching her seat.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both in person." She took a breath. "I know that I may not be the Hanseatic leader than everyone wants to meet. But unfortunately the world is not as kind as we would like it to be. I have come hoping to restore our relations and of course that comes with access to my Polynesian islands, if we cannot have good terms between us then the islands will not be a possibility. I would like to know that first, before we sit down to business." Glancing at the Empress she lowered her head. "There is no reason why two world powers, while not seeing eye to eye can not at least see thought to thought."

"I wont lie miss Asgeirsson, we aren't on the same terms as we were with the original Hansa, it will also take time to regain our trust. However our good will should be obvious if only from the simple fact the Empire has never revoked the Protection over the new Hansa and isn't planning on doing so in the near future."Jane said in a normal voice at that point the general came in between.

"As you understand the UESA while founded and protected by Imperials is a multinational union our own charter recognizes the grounds as an autonomous area with the protection being responsible to me and not the Empire. We are willing to enter you into our organization on very generous terms. The Hanseatic Commonwealth will have an equal share, your people will form half of the Executive Council and all operations will be crossed by both nations. What we request is the same as we request from the Empire. Ground to work on with a semi-autonomous state. This to ensure war will not interfere with the advancement of mankind.

Hannah turned to Hammond first. "That would be more than appropriate General. While the Hansa does not have anything near a space program, this would be knowledge most valuable for the future and the sheer thought that you have allowed our incorporation does more than you know. The Commonwealth controls much of the Eastern South Pacific and as you are only a corporation, semi-autonomy will not be a problem especially that the Hansa controls fifty percent of said corporation. Therefore the islands are of your choosing, which ever ones most amplify the rate of mission success, construction crews will be dispatched immediately."

After her talk with Hammond she turned back to Jane. "Yes, we have always looked at the protection status as a continual sign of friendship between your people and ours. But it seems as though that it is almost of a Tintagylian hope that this protection status is ensured. What I would be interested in Your Highness, is how can relations be improved between our states. Both of our nations, have changed a great deal since the Tintagylian Era and I don't think it is right to dishonor either Lady Nadine or Lady Sarah that we cannot possibly be the strongest of allies on opposite sides of the Pacific. It is something that I would like to put at the forefront of foreign relations."

"Perfect, before we construct though we plan to enter discussions with local organizations who somehow could be utilized to assist in the success of our program as we desire to employ almost only Hanseatic citizens in your own nation. We also request you to send your best pilots up for the task to our training centers. There still are 2 open seats on the moon mission in a few months"Hammond replied leaving the 2 Heads of State alone for discussions that were not directly related to the UESA.

"We are aware of the loss of Tintagyl this is not our main concern, however we have had problems with some questionable decisions as of late. We are willing to overcome these issues. Protection is nice but hardly needed over the Commonwealth and in our opinion shows a certain kind of disrespect towards your people. Now you have settled the Empire is proposing to take it to a new level. A Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pact where we are equals. We are also willing to open the Empire to all Hanseatic citizens withour the requirement of visa."Jane replied.

"Thank you General, as soon as you can give me the necessary information on what is needed to be done on the islands. I will dispatch a bid for construction crews to begin work. As to the pilots, it will take a bit of searching, but I'm sure we have a few aces in our air force who would be more than willing to accompany your people on such a monumental occasion for the Commonwealth."

For Jane was she was much more reserved. "Since the Fall of the first Commonwealth, this country and my people have barely been able to scratch out an existence in Australia. A quasi-civil war, the rise of Queensland, and worse the protectorate status of New Anglica. Your Highness, the Hanseatic people have been through some of the most terrible times in our history as a nation and it has only been of recent that we have been able to get back on our feet. What's worse were the terrorist attacks by Dranagg on Brisbane after the takeover and the renouncement of recognition by half of Asia after the annexation of Aginor. We do not pretend to live in a world we are not wanted in and if you are willing to extend your hand in friendship, we gladly accept. It means a great deal to myself, and to my people that we are not as forsaken as previously thought."

"Agreed, we have been watching on the sidestep for a while and feel it is time for a statement, the old Commonwealth has helped us and we see the same potential of a stable and unifying power here. If you accept our new friendship will very much be made public so everyone know they should not mess with the Commonwealth or face the fury of the Phoenix."

Hannah rose from her seat and walked over to the Empress, taking her hand firmly in her own. "Sarah once told me that it was her dream to create a world where her people could live in harmony, without the fear of war, of disease, of death. Perhaps here, you and I, can make that dream a reality. We accept a mutual defense and optional aggression pact and I can tell you that any enemy of your Empire will face though perhaps not the strongest, easily, the most dedicated military on the face of this planet." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small sapphire jewel, with a white feather carved into it. "A token of our friendship." Hannah chuckled. "The Lillian Guards call them, the eye of the Goddess. It is a sign of eternal alliance between our peoples, please hold it well."
