His Holiness extends his personal greetings to the Kingdom of Austria, and recognizes the strong ties between the Catholic Church, and the people and faithful of Austria. We would like to humbly request the training and instruction of our Swiss Guard by Austria's army. We would also like to request a moderate amount of Armored cars for the protection and safety of his holiness within the Vatican.

OOC: I consider this to be some days before the announcement of the HRE.

"We would gladly provide training and armoured vehicles to the Vatican. The vehicles and training in their use will be provided for free, while the training for the Swiss Guard will be the same as for Austrian soldiers. How many men need to train, and how many vehicles are required?"

As it stands, there are currently around 134 Guardsmen in service to His Holiness, however for the training, the Curia has seen fit to expand the number of Guardsmen to roughly 800 in number. We have done so by removing the restriction on nationality, requesting that they merely be naturalized as a Swiss citizen. They will need personal protection training in conunction with a regular, field army training regimen.

"This can be done without problems. You just need to note us when you send them, how many, and we will train them to the standards of our armed forces.

Their training will take about as long as that of an Austrian soldier, plusminus a week or two, as they already know how to handle weapons."

They should arrive by Tuesday of next week. When can we expect them to return home, to share in their training and tactics? Further, when can we expect the armored cars to be shipped to the Vatican for use by the Guard? We require only around 10 vehicles in all.

"The basic training will require 18 weeks at the very least, up to a year if some of them wish to specialise.

The vehicles will be built over the next two days and shipped. They should arrive within 5 days, together with instructors. The Guards coming to Austria will be trained in the use of the vehicles in Austria."

Very well. You may expect the Guardsmen to arrive next week and we will await the shipment of the new vehicles. His Holiness is greatly appreciative of Austria in this matter. May the peace of our Lord be with you.

"To help the Lord, we are willing to do many things.

God with you."

OOC: They are not from Austria. They are from anywhere and all they need to do, is just become citizens of of the Vatican or Switzerland. They are not required to be born in Switzerland.

"To show his friendship to the Vatican and his thanks for accepting him as the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire,

Emperor Alexander has decided to help the Vatican some more in its self-defense. In three strategic locations within the Vatican City, anti-missile defenses will be built, concealed by gardens or other such things so that the population will not suspect anything.

We hope that His Holiness has nothing against this."

His Holiness is deeply humbled by the Charity of Austria and we look forward to cooperating more in the future on other matters outside of defense. We have displayed the locations where we desire the sites to be constructed within the Vatican. They are marked in blue in the map as shows:

OOC:

Any vehicle, any person, any package/bag/container, anything crossing the border and coming in Italy is searched and frisked by the border guards so there is NO WAY 10 vehicles will be able to go in the vatican - and living 500 meters from the Vatican, i know how it looks like, and i really doubt they have the space to park 10 vehicles or build missile defense systems.

Either if you come by air or land, my radars would notice them. You can't hide an helicopter on the skies of Rome. It is the Capital, and is the most guarded, surveilled city in Italy. Therefore this RP cannot be considered valid.
