With the recent investigations showing kingdom of Cochin supporting terrorists in the PRC, troops moved towards the Gansu/Cochin border. To make space for themselves about 3,000 civilians were shifted out of their homes to make way for these soldiers. The government had moved to DefCon 1 and Prisoners were made to mine the borders and the government was ready to invade Cochin.

Reciprocating the PRC escalations, the Royal Cochin Defense Forces has escalated its alertness to DEFCON TWO. Border Guards and Strategic Command are now at DEFCON ONE.

2 Shock Army Divisions, 4 Armored Cavalry Regiments, 4 Mechanized Divisions and 6 Infantry Regiments have been deployed to PRC borders to repel any possible invasion.

All Border Guard Brigades have deployed Aerostats along their territories as added defensive measures.

Civilian satellites (OOC: not military satellites so all these ones can do is look, not even take pictures) noticed the heavy buildup on the borders and Carthaginian troops on Socotra (a total of 12,000 in tightly cramped quarters who were stuck due to the nuclear strikes) were put on readiness alert.

The Kingdom of Cochin calls upon the People's Republic of China to cease its provocative words and actions. If PRC attempts to invade Cochin's territories the repercussions would be severe.

With a total of 350,000 soldiers and around 3000 tanks Royal Cochin Army had strengthened the defenses of Cochin's borders with PRC. The Border Guard brigades in these regions have been beefed up with additional artillery units. The mining operations which had been launched some time back was completed just in the nick of time.

Any invasion would be very costly to PRC.

With continuing stalemate at the borders, Royal Cochin Army has started a series of battle exercises in the border regions. While Border Guard units maintain their vigil, the Royal Cochin Army units have set up improvised firing and gunnery ranges and are practicing their gunnery and mobile warfare skills. Control is so maintained that if necessary they can roll out to their defensive deployments very fast.

Raptor High Altitude Stealth UAV have also been introduced in the sector and are making furtive flights to borders with PRC. Occasional cross border incursions are also taking place, but the stealthy frame, suppressed engines and optical camouflage would make it difficult to detect and the self detonating package of high explosives would make it impossible to source it back to Cochin if ever interdicted! Even the explosives are sourced from outside Cochin so that a chemical characteristic analysis would not implicate any Cochin industry. These Raptors are flying over PRC observing PRC ground and air units and also gathering Signal Intelligence to locate enemy Command and Control units from the signal characteristics. Raptors are also tracking the radar characteristics of PRC's air defense network and plotting them to make it much more easier for RCAF to eliminate.

The ACRs deployed at PRC borders are now getting fully acquainted with their new ECT cannons. With the new cannon system the T150s of Royal Cochin Army now have a fire range of 10km for their 130mm main guns. The ECT improved 155mm artillery guns are also starting to arrive in this sector and it is expected that the first of many Railgun Artillery to be inducted by Royal Cochin Army would be deployed against PRC.

With the continued belligerence by PRC, Royal Cochin Air Force is also increasing its sorties and several intelligence gathering flights by Raptor UAVs are venturing deep into PRC territory bolstered by any lack of interdiction in the previous flights. Intricate details of the PRC defenses are being gleamed which would contribute to a crippling first strike in case of commencement of actual hostilities.
