Sure I won against Estrella Roja and I still have a shot at the promotion... but having two key players out of the pitch because of three yellow cards, it's gonna be hard to beat SiPS (who defeated me at home earlier in the season :( )

V... if you can keep SiPS off my back, there's a "Foreign Aid" package waiting with your name on it. :)

Yup, can't log in either. Probably maintenance.

Congratulations to Swamplandia Sinners on winning the Primera / Liga Mundo championship. Swamplandia is a side that hasn't gained a heck of a lot of respect despite playing 5 seasons in the league and 4 of those in the Primera - but their title is a first in two respects: Swamplandia is the first non-Original 4 team to win the title as well as the first champion to have started out in the Segunda.

Let's hope not! Would hate to lose Spartak MK - one of our older, established clubs.

wow congratz to the Sinners on winning Primera B-).

Agreed... GRATS TO DA SINNERS! as Botha so eloquently put it, a team that hasn't gained a lot of respect over the seasons.

But this is a squad that has escaped relegation a couple times, and has a reputation for gritty, scrappy football. All but one of their wins this season were by one goal, and only had one blowout loss all year. A win is a win, and Hail to the Champions! o/

Yes, Swamplandia has had at least two stay of executions for relegation that I am aware off. And I myself have always respected Swamplandia (albeit sometimes grudgenly after a loss) because they have always proven to be a tough, tenacious opponent for the Springboks. I remember a few seasons ago when we were talking about predictions, folks thought I was nuts for ranking Swamplandia as high as I did. Well they certainly came through this year. I'm noticing a trend, in that the team that gets the early points seems to finish well. I know in my own case, the last two seasons I struggled massively in the first half, skirt with relegation, yet go on a tear at the end.
Yeah, not too mention the fact that this is the first champions not part of the big 4
Well Transvaal winning the title in Season 5 broke the myth of the Big 3 dominance, and I think the Swamplandia title is a similar end-of-an-era, start-of-an-era moment. It has broken the myth that only original Season 1 teams have what it takes. Honestly, I'm quite pleased and thrilled Swamplandia won it this year. This is a good collective championship for our league.
Well that was an uneventful change report. One of my strikers went up a bar other than that no visibles
Mine was pretty weird, granted half my players increased by a bar but as an overall picture it seems pretty 'meh'. The most surprising or unexpected was Stien van Buyten, his increase suddenly puts some pressure on Henk Schot to improve next season or likely be shipped off.
