Sargun II
Immediate-release map by the Interim Government. NUCLEAR WEAPONS FIRED FROM SPAIN; GIBRALTAR HIT TWICE; FIVE MISSILES SHOT DOWN, FALLOUT SPREADS Earlier today, late in the third month of the Spanish Uprising fighting, seven nuclear weapons of unknown origin and make were fired from an unknown location in Spain. Carthaginian anti-missile defenses were unable to intercept fast enough, but F-46 fighter pilots over the Straits of Gibraltar were given the order to intercept. Four of the higher megaton missiles were shot down in close combat above the Straits, their low-altitude trajectory providing an opportunity for the pilots. Several squadrons were caught in the four fireballs. No EMP-related fatalities were recorded. One equally-sized missile that was not on the same course as the others was intercepted when an F-46 pilot rammed his plane into the missile before it could reach a low enough altitude to detonate in the city. The city of Cadiz was spared the brunt of the explosion but fallout was expected to spread through the city. Two smaller, faster nuclear weapons detonated on opposite sides of the city of Gibraltar. Both missiles destroyed approximately 62% of the city immediately and caused devastating damage to the international merchant fleets that were seized by the rebels and then recently liberated by Carthaginian troops. Estimates of deaths are currently unknown.

Nuclear weapons should be used, not stored away to rot." Edited November 3, 2009 by Executive Minister
Biohazard
Furon would like to erect a statute in honor of the pilot that sacrificed himself, for so many. Truly, an excellent soldier, and by definition, one of the best. If there's anything we can do to assist, please, let us know.
