Silhouette
The Energy Workers Union, in an aggressive powerplay against the government, has instituted a work-to-rule industrial action, in protest against government plans to phase out conventional power generation in favour of renewable or nuclear energy. The justification provided by a union spokeswoman was that such a move would leave many hundreds of employees without jobs. The work-to-rule action that has been instituted restricts union members from operating outside their contracts. As such, repairs and other tasks that are not specified in workers' contacts are not being completed, thus leaving many businesses and homes without power for several hours at a time. Neither the President or the Senate have commented at this time.
Subtleknifewielder
***Private musings*** "Interesting. Could this be another internam power struggle in the making?" "Perhaps, sir. In any case, all we need to do is watch and wait. Perhaps we could even reinstate the proper government if this turns out right." "Unlikely to happen, but you are right. We should always be prepared."
Silhouette
Raglan was hard at work. The leader of the EWU was a fast ally of the former Triumvirs. This was just the first in a series of moves in the attempt to reestablish the former government. So far, they had precious few clues as to the identity of the de-facto leader of the state, seeing as Bryson was only a puppet. He didn't have the wit to conduct such a coup by himself. They had had scant little contact with the Promised Land government so far, but one of their contacts was a woman who went by the name of Smart. Miss Smart was a personal friend of all four men, and her relation to Promised Land was unknown. She did, however, possess some good information, which was of vital use to their efforts so far. Time would tell whether their attempts bore fruit.
