We're setting up base inside a crater this month. :)

Confirmed. Thanks Chintan! Nowhere near Curiosity, though ;)

It applies to the Mars hotspot too.

I'll post a screenshot in a bit.

I'm new to Mars wonders and haven't figured them out yet. I didn't even realize you needed to move the base, I thought it was just the mines and colonies, so I think my base is still where it started. And when I moved my colony last time, I did it wrong (I think I had the lat/long in reverse order.)

This is what I'm showing now, if it helps to locate the right spot.

Mars Base
Owner: Baldr
Base Effectiveness: 50%
Last Moved: 10/11/2012
Date Purchased: 10/19/2012
Expires: 1,157 Days
Location: 0.00000, 0.00000

Mars Colony
Owner: Baldr
Colony Effectiveness: 77%
Citizens: 4,758
Last Moved: 11/18/2012
Date Purchased: 11/18/2012
Expires: 887 Days
Location: -60.00000, -42.00000

I haven't purchased a mine yet. I expect to get it mid-way through this month.

I don't understand how to calculate the hotspots, and I actually just remembered to look it up. So here'e my contribution.

Mars Base
Owner: HelgavonLichtenstein
Base Effectiveness: 83%
Last Moved: 7/2/2012
Date Purchased: 7/26/2010
Expires: 341 Days
Location: -62.00000, -102.00000

Same effectiveness for Mars Colony. Hope this helps.

Does someone want to try this one:

(-84.00000001, -148) URL Segment: lon=-148&lat=-84.00000001

or one of these 3:

(-84.00000001, -152) URL Segment: lon=-152&lat=-84.00000001
(-84.00000001, -147) URL Segment: lon=-147&lat=-84.00000001
(-84.00000001, -146) URL Segment: lon=-146&lat=-84.00000001

This one gives 99%:
