Thank you, Cerridwyn, and all who helped. lat=54.99999999&lon=147 That was unexpected. The floating point error strikes again, just in time for the new year! It's weird that -55 didn't need a floating point correction back here, but 55 did. Thanks to everyone who helped! Chintan
I made several updates to the Moon & Mars hotspot finder. Most importantly, I added a floating point correction for 55 so it corrects it to 54.99999999, because this month we discovered that 55 doesn't work but 54.99999999 does. Get the latest version to avoid the same confusion we had while finding this month's hotspots. I also added all the observed hotspots up to January 2017 and updated the probabilities. Get the latest version here: Moon & Mars Hotspot Finder You'll have to save a copy (File -> Make a copy...) to use it. And you'll have to give it a few seconds to calculate after entering your test points.
Rakul
I could have sworn I posted a "Thank you for the update, Chintan!" post last month. I guess I forgot to press send. So.... belated thanks?
Chintan
You're welcome! btw, are people with Mars wonders looking at the moon thread and vice versa? This month's Moon hotspot was found, and entering into the spreadsheet will MASSIVELY narrow down the search for the Mars hotspot.

I always did my best to find both, until other people started doing it for me. Now I'm just a lazy fanny.
Rakul
@Chintan: Yep, I check both often. @Ghuxalia: You served long enough, you're due some downtime.

mahmah
Much less luck this time. I've got a most likely spot at -41, -57. No other options available, but there are a three moon options connected. I've tried 0,29 - 50% -58,-94 - 80% -83,-146 - 65%
