Bacharth
With the project to make Crimea the largest and safest city in the world, Chancellor Betrakte has appointed the Ministry of Mass Urbanization to monitor and direct the multi-billion dollar project mostly funded by private corporations. The current map, shown below, shows the four zones being urbanized, as well as the military bases being constructed. Because most Crimean citizens were left unemployed by the Varangian Kaiser's bill on outsourcing, the Ministry has made the jobs available to citizens of the nation first. This has left Varangia with a near non-existent unemployment rate. The Map Zone 1: Urbanization and Underground Structure Complete Zone 2: Underground Structure Complete, Urbanization Under Construction Zone 3: Underground Structure under Construction and Urbanization Pre-construction Zone 4: Underground Structure Pre-Planning Naval Bases Air Bases Army Bases The final thing needed is assistance. We warmly invite foreign corporations to buy plots of land and help construct buildings, as well as foreign ministries, in our Yellow zones. Land is cheap, and we fully welcome all to come up with dazzling feats of architecture. Also, as mentioned in the Distopyan constitution, all of our buildings will be "green" and carbon neutral. The dirt and minerals being dug from the ground will be used in other applications within Crimea, or sent to other nations to assist them in building processes. The government would also like to take this time to invite foreign dignitaries or leaders to our nation to show them around the construction sites and the completed cities. Bacharth
The Varangian Empire still refuses to recognize this rogue state. -------------------- Erik Betrakte: "Hey, it was your constitution. You refused to forsee everything that could happen. But, coming from a Icelander, that's understandable." Bacharth
The peninsula of Crimea, after 2 months of work, has been completely covered in city, and completely secured with an underground shelter for military and civilian uses. The hydroponics system is complete, although the land in southern Ukraine will be used mainly for growing instead of the hydroponics. Lynneth
"Austria wonders how you managed to cover the entire peninsula in city when we still are rebuilding what was destroyed in the Civil War a year ago, and with both areas being of relatively similar size. However, we offer to sell you cheap electricity, generated by the cleanest power source imaginable: Fusion."
Kaiser Martens
Rumors are spread that the whole urbanization is just a cluster of shanty towns and empty, cheap warehouses often overran by animals. OOC: Couldn't resist.

Bacharth
OOC: Minister of Urbanization and Relocation: "In response to the civil war comment, we will attest that quite a few blocks had been bombed by enemy bombers. However, our air force quickly responded so that the damage stayed to only a few blocks. We have decided to make that few blocks into a memorial park. When we say city, we just mean that it's all zoned for an urban environment, and not completely like a New York City or Beijing scene. Construction did continue after the bombings over the construction areas stopped. Fortunately our research in air force trumped the Varangian air force." "Also, to the rumors about everything being a shantytown, we know why these are going out. Many would probably wonder how we have the money for this. In all honesty, we don't. All of this is the work of private companies and contractors, and only government buildings are paid for with government money. The income from these corporations has allowed our infrastructure to grow, and allowed us to build the underground. If you do not believe us, we warmly invite you to see for yourself."
