Samuel Houston Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) The Deth T*oll Pact After a couple big city nights of heavy metal stage carnage in Danzig last weekend, Nordreich and the Dark Templars came to the conclusion that we both want a more collaborative approach in the studio before going on tour. Sometimes we like mayhem; sometimes we prefer overkill; and on a few occasions, we grant our enemies a merciful fate. But what to do? After the concert, over many nights of partying... three hogsheads of whiskey, 50 cubic cubits of beer, 3 dead hookers, and an asphyxiated clown later, we emerged into the sunlight like slugs on rock salt. This is about the time someone began scribbling a so-called announcement out of thick smoky air. In this spirit of new metal brotherhood, we announce the Deth T*oll Pact. Sovereignty: Each member of the band agrees to respect the other band mate's skills, creative work, and general awesome individual brutality. Mutual Defense: In the event one of the band is attacked, the other band member is bound to assist by whatever means necessary, even if it means going down in flames. Mutual Aggression: In the event one of the band decides to make the hammer fall on some unfortunate victim (or groupies), the rest of the band is free to join in as if possessed and inflict mega-death upon the foe. Hanging out at the studio to work on ultra riffs or the next album is also cool, though. Cancellation: If one of the band members decides to go on a week-long bender, a stripper-fueled weekend in Amsterdam, or in any other way decides to bail on the rest of the band, it is expected that they at least invite the rest along beforehand.
