He felt his consciousness giving way.. all 3 of them. The key glowed bright as the noonday sun in his hand. "Oh no.." He looked up to the sky from whence he had fallen fighting the tyrant which was trampling Jerusalem and recalled...

Revelation 9

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

As he gazed upwards.. a the light from the key and another from the sky entered his eyes.. and he fell over flat. His claw grasped the key in a death-like grip.

“Who is going to stop me? The choice is yours.

I’m going down there with or without you.

Don’t underestimate me . . . Just who the hell do you think I am?

I’ve survived worse because I’m Generalissimo, Generalissimo of Procinctia! ! !

Reject common sense and we can make the impossible possible.”

Generalissimo closes his eyes and jumps into the darkness.

OOC: Oh HELL yes, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann!

Maelstrom woke up.. Sarah in one hand.. key in the other. He looked around at where he was. He slowly got up and rubbed his head. There was part of his mind he could not access, although everything in that section.. apparently had been moved. Concerning, but not important immediately. He knew Sarah may need a hospital. He took flight, heading east.. towards the only hospitals he trusted.

Meanwhile, in a place far away from all the fighting, Valdis had left the museum. She had not gone far however, simply opting to sit on the stairs and take in the landscape, the forest of concrete that seemed to spread out in all directions. It was like this that the police found her, and given that she was the only one wearing medieval armor it wasn't too particularly hard for them to pick her out as the trespasser. They shouted something, and the memories of the guard told her they wanted to arrest her.

However, with being arrested would come spending time in jail, and this shortly after waking she did not feel much for being locked away again. Ignoring their shouts, she stood up, walking off to the side. A police officer grabbed her arm, but she kept on moving, the man failing miserably to detain her. She stopped at a TV store, showing footage of what was happening in (and to) Jerusalem. Looking for answers as she was, she realised that this group of... beings would most likely be in the same place the answers would be, and thus finding them would tell her more about what was going on.

The TV blinked out as a warning shot hit it. With a more than annoyed look, she turned around at the officers. A memory sparked then, a subconscious thought of what would be a way to solve this. Without really realising what she was doing, she took a deep breath, and when she exhaled, a red gas flowed towards the officers, forming a reddish cloud where the cars were.

The screams followed shortly afterwards.

Surprised, she looked at the results of her little action. From what she could tell they were apparently seeing things that were not there, shouting about monsters and shooting in the air. Another was just babbling incoherently about blue rabbits, and the other three... Well, suffice to say that they were going through the same thing. She turned to face the lone police officer that hadn't been caught in the cloud, but he turned and ran, fearing a similar fate.

That settled it. She needed to find these people, but before she did she'd need to know herself. An instant before she fired that cloud, something had... triggered, and it had lasted long enough to tell that that memory stealing and breathing hallucinogenic gas weren't the only things she was capable of. A settlement had more lawbreakers the bigger it got, people that wouldn't be missed, giving her plenty of guinea pigs to test her powers on. A smile forming on her face, she set foot for what the memory of the guard told her was a bad area of town...

The vibrating increased - one shard of debris caught underneath the sand shot up, flipping like a boomerang.
Maelstrom tapped into the Global Geological Survey Stations... and began to track the movement of the machine on seismometers world-wide. "It's going deeper." The speakers built into the side of its neck boomed.

"I also hate to tell everyone this, but there is a madman who wants to conquer earth from the moon gunning for us too."

"Well damn." He began to crawl after the others...

AI noted, "This isn't wise Sir. They're not large. This cavern cannot accomodate us well. We are a risk to the party. Stay out. Send the drones."

Maelstrom relented, "GAH.. fine.."

Maelstrom's ID was so frustrated it roared with sufficient will to make the creature's body roar out also.. causing it to get stern looks from both the Conscious centers of Maelstrom and the AI.

They pulled back from the edge of the cavern.. and instead.. a global hawk dove down the cavern to explore it and to monitor the progress of the teams.

In the meantime, he sat by the entrance with his legs crossed, meditating.. linking up with his network in more detail.

The AI chimed in, "Repairs at 92%"

The green glow from the weaponized tiberium suddenly stopped. His cannon flashed violently, green light blasting out of the hole with more force than what light should have. It was followed by silence.

What came after was the most destructive force the world had yet to see. At the center of Jerusalem, a huge mount erupted from the ground. Almost like a mountain, the pillar of dirt and earth and debris continued to rise. However, it turned into a wave. A shockwave spread out from the center, the earth rolling as if a liquid. Gashes a mile long appeared in the city as the very Earth started to split apart at Jerusalem. Entire city blocks were sheared straight off the face of the earth, others destroyed immediately as the wave enveloped the city like an atomic bomb.

It moved slowly.

The entire tunnel began to shake as Sarah stopped her descent and held Generalissimo closer to her body. "Damn it all. I knew we should have come down here!" As she finished speaking the earthquake began to rock the tunnel, as massive stones, rocks, sand, and bits of earth came crashing down around them. They were being trapped inside the Earth, with no way out, unless Sarah moved incredibly fast. "We have to get out of here before its too late!" She shouted and turned her body upwards as she began searching for the sunlight seeping into the hole. But there was no such light.

The rocks began falling faster and faster, hitting down further and further. Sarah tucked Generalissimo under her body as best as she could, to keep him from getting hit by the rocks while taking the beating herself. But as the Earth caved in more and more, their tunnel of escape became thinner and thinner.

"No! We have to get out! We have to get out!" She shouted as the tunnel closed up around them, encasing them in utter dark. "NO! NO! I WON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO US!" Sarah screamed as she bore into the Earth with her body, the rocks falling all around her, blood dripping from her head, hands, arms, and legs. She screamed in pain as the earth scraped against her body, but slowly and surely, she thrust through the rock and then at the last minute when all hope seemed lost. They bore into the sunlight above, staring at a ruined city.

Sarah flew into the air, weak, tired, battered and only to begin to fall to the ground meters away from the hole. She let Generalissimo go landed on her feet. "We're safe...we're...saf..." She said, then collapsed unconsciously onto the ground.

Nothing else mattered, utterly focused on his task, all thoughts of any other being fled from his mind.

nothing mattered except containing the blast. Earth could be melted with fire, solidified by water and air. the blast could be directed skyward, and he gave no mind to doing anything but that.

Even the apparent mountain erupting under his feet failed to shake him from his purpose--the elements could never hurt him.

As he worked, shfting and molding the elements to accomplish the task, unkowingly his eyes lit up from within, a bluish glow spreading from his pupils to the whites of his eyes, from his eyes to his face, encompassing his whole body.

In the end, the force was too much to completely contain, though he managed to redirect it skyward.

----

When it was over, he collpased to the ground, barely a foot from one crevice.

On his way out of town, Maelstrom stooped and picked up his visitor friend in the same claw as Sarah before he proceeded on to the Hospitals in his home state to the East. The emergency wards had already been notified of their pending arrivals and explained they would be delivered by an "over sized inexplicable beast in the employment of the government that may cause panic, so please have riot police on hand."

It wasn't long before they landed at an isolated hospital in the Indian Deserts on the borders of Marscurian Pakistan. The Riot police were there to control what little population did freak out at the behemoth that had landed in their back yard. Maelstrom laid down both Sarah and his visitor onto stretches. They were taken inside where the visitor was treated for exhaustion.. and Sarah was tended to on a more detailed level. He.. on the other hand.. sat outside the building, claw holding jaw.. elbow on knee.. wondering what exactly to do next other than wait for his friends to get well. The news media was kept away.. and the area was put under a government cordon.

The doctors would find that it was not simply exhaustion that had caused this man to collapse...

Despite the fact that he had eaten a good meal only a few hours ago, the condition of his body suggested he hadn't had proper nourishment in days.

OOC: A not-so-subtle hint at his weakness there.

ooc: May I suggest lots and lots of ice cream? Perhaps an Ice-Cream IV ?:-P Alright, back IC now, you may want to pick this up in Sarah's new thread where we're in India.

OOC: Yeah, I noticed the new thread. Thanks. :)

Ice cream doesn;t sound like a bad suggestion...though that just might be the nearly unbearable heat outside right now...
