As usual the Kergulens remain totally off limmits to all foreign ships, planes, and persons. McDonald's Island remains open to foreign trade and visits. All ships making birth from Dragonisia will be more extensively examined before being admitted.

*Private to Dragonisia*

If needed the dominion could put its extensive medical and scientific resources to work researching the virus itself. If a cure couldn't be found at the least we may be able to learn a great deal about its pathology.

OOC: Lol, slightly late responses :P

IC: Air traffic between the Dragon Empire and Drakoria has been cut off; anyone with plans to travel between the two nations will be housed and compensated by the government. Passports from the Dragon Empire will be declined, and a one-mile radius of the Mangghystau provincial border has been sealed off, and the Drakorian citizens have been moved out of the area. Dragon Empire's citizens that were traveling to Drakoria will be housed in tents. The Quarantined Border will be patrolled by Drakorian soldiers with facemasks on. Black Sea waters around Mangghystau has also been restricted by the small Drakorian navy.

"Research teams from around the world from states who have never sponsored biological terror are welcome to come examine and attempt to find cures for the virus." noted the Health Minister.

The Dominion will send a small team to collect samples and examine sick individuals. Also we don't sponsor biological terror :v:.

Appearance of rare immune resistant individuals is noted, but uncommon

OOC: Mael is Legend? :P

IC: A team from Drakoria is dispatched to work on a cure for the virus. The Medical Research Association of Armenia and Georgia, MRAAG, would like to make sure that Dragonisia knows that the virus could quite possibly mutate into something worse. And we've never condoned, used, or plan to use, biological warfare.

Unless we hear otherwise, a team consisting of 7 scientists, 10 security personnel and 5 aircraft crew members will be touching down in a hastily repurposed Boeing 737 in the infected area within the next (OOC: 12 hours) to gather samples of the virus to return to Selenarctos pharmaceutical companies. The team is equipped with a variety of scientific equipment and the best self-contained biohazard suits we have been able to produce. Upon their return, the plane will land on a military airstrip with no unsuited personnel allowed within 500m. The team will remain in quarantine for 7 days upon their return, and all equipment they took with them will undergo full decontamination. The 737, which was scheduled for retirement anyway, will be disassembled and fully decontaminated as well.

"We wish to note that few nations will openly admit that they condone biological attacks, or that one has been carried out in their name. The reaction of the world to our statement is hardly encouragement for them to do so."

Twenty scientists from Drakoria will arrive in an airport designated by Dragonisia shortly. Each one will be dressed in a biohazard suit, with ten staying to contain the virus and the others taking samples of the virus back to Drakoria for studies and to ensure that none of the symptoms caused by the virus are in the Drakorian populace.

"Innocent until proven.. or confessed.. guilty." Is the only response which would be given.

"Yes, we are well aware of that statute. It is also the standard in our courts. but we still note the irony in the situation, that the reaction is hardly encouraging to people owning up to their mistakes."

The kill count of the MVISAHAM virus is up to 1,000,000.. however signs are showing that the virus' kill rate is dropping sharply. This is a sign the populations are developing immunities to the new strains without having to intervene technologically. The kill rate is still high, at 50% lethality. Research is still ongoing into a vaccine. Laboratories with the national labs indicate they may be reaching a break-through soon.

ooc: My nation strength has doubled this week after the war ended.. thus.. stat suppressor.. is slowly going away.

OOC: Yay peace! :P

IC: Research has begun in Drakoria on a vaccine. We believe that the immunities in the blood of some Dragonisians is the key to killing off the virus. We also expect someone to point out how obvious this statement is.
