State of the Alliance

This week has seen our membership numbers increase slightly to 192 despite a large number of nations ceasing to exist due to inactive government. As a result our total nation strength remains below 3.4 million and our average nation strength has dropped to 17,500.

In domestic news, the Tiger of the Month Award for June was presented to Blitza for his contributions to the Bank by offering aid regularly to assist new members to grow. Without commitment like Blitza’s our alliance would be unable to support our cubs as well as we do and for that the Siberian Tiger Alliance thanks Blitza!

In the Siberian Trophy the competitions most successful team has moved into the top place in the Trophy division. Batch’s hard-fought away win over Condatis Town saw them leapfrog Bamburgh FC, who was held to a draw against lowly The Mushroom Commune, and FC Tigris Altaica who scored a solid home win over The Rabbs. In the Cup Division Rebel United and Lombardia FC remain in the promotion positions, both undefeated after six matches with a five point buffer between them and third placed Team Waycool.

The inability to count to twenty again struck the Siberian Tiger Alliance this week when KevinKeegan’s nation was removed from the Cyberverse for government inactivity. He joins Meagermice who fell victim to the same clerical error last week. To mark this achievement the facepalm smiley on the STA forum has been renamed :meagerkeegan:.

The Foreign Affairs Department was again quiet this week with no new treaties signed. The Siberian Tiger Alliance is looking at signing a PIAT with Silence with a view to upgrading should things go well. The Siberian Tiger Alliance has had a long and solid friendship with the League of Extraordinary nations reflected in the Mutual Defence Pact the alliances held until LEN disbanded and merged with OTF to form Silence. We certainly look forward to getting to know the former-OTF members of Silence and reinstating our formal alliance with our ex-LEN friends.

Militarily it was again a busy week with more rogue attacks and some STA ghosts deciding to attack aligned nations. All rogues, including our ghosts, have been approved for attack and any tigers in range are free to take any open war slots on those nations. If anyone carrying the ‘Siberian Tiger Alliance’ alliance affiliation is attacking a member of your alliance, please feel free to contact us and we can clarify if the nation is an actual member or a ghost and then deal with the issue diplomatically.

Overall it has been a frustrating week for our recruiters as they see the new members rolling in countered by the attrition caused by inactive nations. However, our alliance continues to grow and once the summer comes to an end the excellent performance of our recruiters will become more apparent, as we approach 200 members and 3.5 million total nation strength.

Za Sibir!
