KingChris
Please post whether or not your Cardinals are planning to vote in the Conclave so that an estimate can be made on how many votes a candidate will need to become pope.
Franz Ferdinand
"Lübeck is a Lutheran nation, and therefore, we shall not be sending any Cardinals to the Conclave." Edited July 12, 2009 by Franz Ferdinand
DeRaadspensionaris
The United Netherlands has a substantial Christian minority but no cardinal and the Catholic Church is still being led by a apostolic nuncio which really upsets both Catholics and Protestants as the Catholics consider themselves not taken seriously and the Protestants view it as a sign that the Catholic Church considers their country to be a mission territory. Therefore the United Netherlands (for the first and only time as we have a strict separation of church and state) exhorts the Church to appoint a cardinal. Manetheren
The Partiarch of the West, Archbishop Patrick Wood will not recognize this usurping Conclave. The Holy Father is kept secret and hidden for security reasons, and that is how it will stay. OOC: I RP the Pope is secret and hidden and nobody knows where it is...just to avoid stuff like this. OOC: If this is the case, then a new one would have to be appointed. The Pope is a Central part of the Christian Church, and for everyone knows, the one you are hiding doesn't exist/live. Therefore the United Netherlands (for the first and only time as we have a strict separation of church and state) exhorts the Church to appoint a cardinal. It has just been decided in a Church-wide meeting of bishops and other Catholic clergymen that the Catholic Church in the United Netherlands breaks away from the nuncio and Rome to show it's discontent with the policies of the Mother Church and the blunt-out ignoring of the call of the Catholic part of the population by Rome to get rid of the nuncio and provide the population with a full Church institute and a cardinal. This has created a schism in the Catholic Church and causes a separation between the more conservative members of the Church- which opted a merger with the Old Catholic Church and the more pragmatic and liberal members- considering merging into the Lutheran Church. Arkantos
Aiginor is a primarily Anglican nation, so we do not need a cardinal, as all other Christian minorities are mainly Baptist, Lutheran, and Methodist.
Botha
Transvaal's Roman Catholic population is a tiny minority compared to the Dutch Reformed Church and Anglicans - but nevertheless Bishop Markus van Bruggen of Johannesburg will attend and vote. Mergerberger II
Political nonsense need not be brought into the Holy Society, as Croatia and some others have done, and we shall not do it. The Kingdom shall not interfere with Church matters. -Official statement from the Czech Kingdom We feel that all callings for a new High Catholic Order should be considered, thus the leader of the Church in Czechia will attend this conclave. -Czech Catholic Church OOC: Catholicism makes up roughly 5% of the religion in the Kingdom; we are mostly Nordic Pagan.
