SunnyInc
I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this problem but the improvement decom button is not working for me.
enderland
I just did this so it is not a global problem.
admin
Make sure you have javascript enabled on your web browser.
SunnyInc
Thanks for the reply. How do I enable java script?
Seer
What exactly are you trying to decom? Some improvements/wonders have dependencies and cannot be decommed unless those dependencies don't exist.
SunnyInc
I'm trying to decomission my labour camps and as far as I am aware, there are no restrictions on deleting your labour camps. I am pretty sure admin was spot on when he said that java was the problem and I need to know how to turn it on... Seer
Well that's browser specific; what browser are you using?
SunnyInc
Internet Explorer.
Seer
http://www.zolved.com/synapse/view_content...rer_7_0_browser This should also work for other versions of IE, but let me know if it doesn't.

Seer
Yeah, I was afraid of that. Do you have any other browsers installed? If so, try 'em. If not, try installing Opera and try the decom again. It's what I use and the only problem I've had with it is stuff like the map function.
Gopherbashi
I suppose you could always get someone to nation sit for a day and have them do it instead. Edited July 15, 2009 by Gopherbashi

OverCaffeinated
I am having the exact same issue since receiving stupid security updates from microsoft. I'm running on Vista and use IE 7.
OverCaffeinated
Figured it out. With this stupid new windows security update, user launched java script doesn't work till the phishing filter is done running. This has to be causing a lot of headaches for other websites. OverCaffeinated
Yes, the problem is definetly when the IE7 phishing filter is running. It seems to be taking unusually long depending on what advertisement banner is on the bottom. If you can't wait the 30-60 seconds for the phishing filter to complete, you can always disable the filter by going to the advanced tab an under Security->Phishing Filter select the "Disable Phishing Filter" radio button. Of course the best solution is for admin to figure out what it is about the banner advertisements that are making the filter run so long. With todays computers it is usually a bug when something takes more then a second or two.
Seer
Did you really have to make that many posts. Good work on finding the issue though. Could you specify the KB number of the update that caused the problem?

SleepiB
It's not just IE, I'm having what I presume to be the same problem in firefox 3.0.11 on MacOS, and I don't think it's the phishing filter, the browser gets stuck loading the page at "Read pagead2.googlesyndication.com" edit: Also it is intermittent.
