Through the back channels, the dark rooms, etc. Normally, a group of this nature would attack someone or something and then announce their existence. This wasn't any normal organization, though. This was the Green Flag, a terrorist group that had survived years of turmoil and conflict. This was a terrorist group that had assassinated world leaders, sent fear into the hearts of millions, and had never been found. This was the group who's singular calling card was just a simple, green flag waving in the breeze. They were not a complex group. Indeed, they only had two goals: create as much chaos and terror in the world as possible, and earn as much money as possible. They were terrorists for hire. They did not fight for an ideology, or a religion, or a cause. They fought for money. But they were no mercenaries. They would not fight anyone's wars. These were acts meant to inspire terror. Short-term things. Get in the country, do it, get out. If they couldn't get in, hire and train someone who could to do it. The following letter was sent to every country's foreign affairs office, and every television, radio, and newspaper outlet in the world electronically by e-mail. The e-mail was sent through thousands if not hundreds of thousands of proxies, which would eventually trace back to a single signal point in Antarctica, powered by solar energy and batteries. That signal point had received it from an anonymous commercial satellite simply labeled as "One", which had beamed it directly to the signal point. The country of origin where the e-mail was sent was impossible to trace. Esteemed world leaders, journalists, and populace,We come to you, once again, to give fair warning to a world we have long inhabited. For a long time we have waited in the shadows, watching, waiting for our time to rise up again. That time is now. Today, we announce the arrival of the Green Flag onto the world stage once again. For those that do not remember us, or, simply, were not around when we were, we shall educate you. We are men and women of many talents, well educated and we enjoy fine alcohol and long walks on the beach. We have assassinated kings, brought countries crashing to the ground around their people's feet, and earned vast sums of money while doing it. We understand that this announcement will be condemned by most everyone, and we're okay with that. Really, we're used to being "those guys" by now, it doesn't phase us. So please, please condemn this. Pretty please condemn this and then have someone from your nation call us, because we all know it will happen. We love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning. We are announcing the continuation of our services. Today marks the first day that the Green Flag once again begins being terrorists for hire. At the end of this message will be a telephone number, secured and untraceable, where you can reach us. We figure that those of you receiving this letter who are in the media will not reprint this number, but we know it will get to the people who need to get it. The spread of this message alone should be enough for that. So, for those of you who wish to cause terror in the world, whether it be for ideological, religious, we-don't-like-you, or for !@#$%-and-giggles reasons, we're here for you. Give us a call. Come on, if some world leader wants to stir trouble elsewhere, why would you hire foreign outlaws to do the job when one of the easiest things to do is to create and fund an "intelligence agency" or "special forces", send them into "sabotage" or "liberation" missions and come to the international community with a clean face, with little risk of being backstabed - whereas hiring foreign criminals leads to who knows how many complications. Private GLS activities responding to Rebel Virginia's statement: Shut down all border checkpoints that is on Rebel Virgina/Great Lakes State border, air, and shipping traffic to Rebel Virginia. Upgrade border defenses on Rebel Virgina/Great Lakes State border and Lake Erie, and build additional military bases on the border and Lake Erie. We do not want any of their freaking terrorists enter our nation. ----------------------- Public: We do not support any form of terrorism, that includes the Green Flag. If we really needed spying/propaganda service, we prefer to go with Artemis since they stated that they will not kill any innocent civilians. Personally, had I been not within Nordland during its existence, I would rather have a traditional enemy to make war with than terrorists, and at the time, there were no terrorist actions globally, and if there were, they were small and centralized. I am not saying that Nordland was a good thing, it was a center of oppression that I am most certainly happy is gone, and my people are no longer oppressed, that is most excellent. In retrospect, no, we were not better off, however you cannot deny that with regards to global terrorist activity, there was certainly less during the Nordlandic era. Should such a coalition be created, it would have to utilize all resources, that will have to be executed and pursued with unrelenting determination and effort.
