VigilantWatcher
The ground operation had been a success. Minas and Rochas had been liberated and the WLF resistance had been broken. On the evening of August 4th, the spearheads reached the northern bank of the Rio de la Plata completing the clearance of the WLF from Curristani territory. When news of the end of Operation Free South reached the Curristan Capital Jakirata, President Polly Richards had this to say: "Now the World Liberation Front has no bases in South America, i feel that the threat to Curristan is over. However the WLF will not give up that easily. They will regroup and try again on possibly another target or in Curristan. We just have to wait and see. But for now, this is a victory for the free world against terrorism."
