Silhouette
In the eyes of Pax Pacis whilst a nation can claim the land they live on and the small strips of water bordering their nation the majority of the world's sea belongs to everyone in the world. We thank Pax Pacis for their support in this matter. Border Security has been increased and Homeland Defence has deployed 2,000 troops to the border with New Cymru to moniter the situation. These troops were spotted by border guards, and a special delivery was called in by the troops on the ground. Promptly, a plane flew overhead, and dropped thousands of small, hastily printed leaflets welcoming them to the Australian Coalition, along with servings of cake. Arkantos
After a significant blunder was made by a general (who is now fired and mopping up somewhere in western Aiginor), our Homeland Defence troops are moving to the Taiwan border. Silhouette
"We would like to inform the nations of this debate by stating what we believe.Taiwan does not and never will, support taxation of other sovereign nations through our waters in this situation. Taiwan does, however, restrict the passage to 6 miles width from the 250Th mile from each of Taiwan's coastlines in the Gulf. The Channel, on the other hand, does not follow this guideline. We expect New Cymru to follow these guidelines, as they are more than reasonable for any nation. As stated before, Promised Land does have a trade agreement with Taiwan for free militaria and civilian transit through the Gulf and taxed militaria ships through the Taiwanese Channel. Any more problems are to be reported to the Taiwanese Government directly. Kind regards, Nebu II." Considering that the gulf is not even close to 500 miles across, we find this statement to be faliable. We shall not accept such rediculous distances. We shall, however, give you our word that we will under no circumstances go within 50 miles of the coast. This should be more than addequate for a nation of pirates. Yawoo
Does New Cymru have no proof on this taxation matter? Considering they have now ignored multiple requests by The Republic of Yawoo, it would seem so, however, we will ask once more and for the final time. New Cymru, either provide proof of your taxation allegations or apologize to Taiwan for saber rattling and generally insulting a nation who has done nothing. Arkantos
***CLASSIFIED*** Aiginor is at DEFCON 3. 10,000 more Homeland Defence troops are being deployed to the border, along with 200 Challenger IIL tanks. In addition, the 1st and 2nd Army Divisions have been deployed to the border with Taiwan. The Aigin Navy is on High Alert, and ANBTLGRP 1 has been called home. Silhouette
Please, inform us of a way to stay out of your waters when they apparently have a larger area than that occupied by the entire gulf? As a side note, we find the poor syntax and general grammar of this last statement to be truly hilarious, and advise Taiwan to hire better typists for their communications division. DeRaadspensionaris
The United Netherlands asks both governments involved to open peaceful talks about this apparently sensitive issue and offers the establishment of a Permanent Court of Arbitration- making the use of force to decide minor disagreements between states a thing of the past. Silhouette
*Classified* After several stressful days without any success, the negotiator assigned to the Taiwanese Dispute was retired, and replaced with a far more forgiving substitute. With this change in position came a change in tack. *Message to Taiwan* It is unfortunate that this situation was allowed to slide this far. At this stage, New Cymru's official position is to extend an invitation to Taiwan to join the Australasian Coalition.
Yawoo
So New Cymru, are you going to continue to ignore The Republic of Yawoo's requests because you have no proof to your allegations? I guess that is one tactic to hide your incompetent attempt to destabilize the Australia-Asia region. The Republic of Yawoo finds it rather humorous that New Cymru has blocked TRoY from entering the Australasian Coalition because TRoY had the audacity to defend its ally in Taiwan, but then turns around and offers Taiwan an invitation to join the AC. The Republic of Yawoo suggest New Cymru does something to actually help Asia instead of trying to push the region to the brink of war. In case you missed it, they have said that the situation is unfortunate. That is the next best thing to an apology. Please back off now. You're right, the situation is unfortunate, but that is not an apology. You'll notice your ally has yet to re-recognize Taiwan as an independent and sovereign nation. The Republic of Yawoo wants New Cymru to answer its requests, and saying "that's unfortunate" is neither answering our request, nor apologizing to Taiwan. Not so long ago many Asian nations were up in arms because of a nation bullying another, now you and yours are condoning the same thing. The hypocrisy is amazing. **Classified** The Republic of Yawoo moves to DEFCON 2 and all troops have been ordered to return to the home islands.
