enderland
I would pick either Coal/Gold or Fish/Wheat the latter is obvious why, the former not.
schmutte693
Wheat and Uranium. Wheat is obvious, and Uranium is too. Although, not having to deal with the environment penalty from importing it is definitely one of the reasons that I doubt most people would consider. enderland
eh the problem with uranium is that unless you have the NPP it doesn't provide any income and you can't temp away yoru native resources (why I don't like my native marble ). That is however why I have Coal on my first choice pair
Decomposition
I might go with wheat and aluminum - mainly because I've had such a tough time finding an aluminum trade in the past.
Derwood1
fish and wheat cause with that you can get whatever you want whenever you want it, so to speak
darkrei9n
Uranium and Oil. And a large army. No ones invading me for my oil. Edited July 8, 2009 by darkrei9n
Duncan King
I rolled coal/iron, something I've always been happy with. It's nice having a built in bonus even if I can't get the top population boost circles. The only combo I'd like more would probably be something with aluminum because in my experience, it's always quite hard to find.
King Death II
Id choose sugar/spices. It was what I got on my first try and I love it, I never have a hard time finding a trade circle
Electron
I choose human resource instead
Vespassianus
I would go for wheat+uranium too. Wheat is obvious, a native uranium saves some environment and it looks good in wartime. Ok, no temp trades, but i can lve without them.
dealmaster13
coal/fish/wheat/water ugh... my marble... :'(
Gamemaster1
Either Coal/Wheat or Wheat/Fish. But I got Coal/Wheat before I even knew what it meant, so
Blue Lightning
I have coal/alum and never liked it...anyone want to swap? I'd probably pick fish/wheat if I could. [edit]Also, why are so many people picking wheat over fish? Edited July 8, 2009 by Blue Lightning
Drai
Glad I have lumber/water. I think I'd go with any two of wheat/lumber/aluminum if I had the choice though. Basically anything that contributes to beer. Edited July 8, 2009 by Drai
Lord Brendan
Why Coal/Gold? Aluminum and Lumber are the most sought after (Construction AND Beer), I'd go with those.
Tyberian
Lumber and aluminum, although my lumber and pigs are doing just fine
Kippa Tarxien
Coal and Gold
TypoNinja
Aluminum and iron, no contest. When filling trade rings the aluminum and iron are almost always the two hardest to come up with. I rolled fish and lumber which is awesome too, but if i ever got the chance to pick (I'd be a great donation incentive ) I'd do aluminum iron. Smacky
Coal and uranium. Easy.
Kaiser
I might go with wheat and aluminum - mainly because I've had such a tough time finding an aluminum trade in the past. I have those resources and I quite like it. Wheat and Fish would be good too.
Imperator G4G
I have coal/silver as natives. I have nothing to complain about so far.
Urmom
Coal and Gold seem like something useful for temp trading. If I were active enough, that. If not, then just wheat/fish.
schmutte693
[edit]Also, why are so many people picking wheat over fish? Because Wheat fits into the 3bg set without being a wildcard (necessary for Beer). Fish, while a great resource, is forced to take up a wildcard spot in such a circle. Alden, I can understand your choice of resources, for temp trade purposes.... but for most people it would be difficult to find stable trades with those resources, let alone temp trades. Sande
Anything that fits into the 3BR set. Uranium is good so you don't get the negative effect from it... also, something that also fits into the affluent population set and industrial set. Maybe pigs+wheat since they give population boost and are needed for almost any resoruce set. Population boost is awesome.
deathman1212
I like my current of aluminium and uranium, the only problem as soon as I lose a trade my inbox gets flooded with trade invites. I would go with two resources that fit in a 5BR, and have an env penalty to import.
