The Empire recognizes the stat of war with Yamato

Recommended Posts

It would be unfair to expel the Dragon Empire only. Because of Yamato the DE had to violate another treaty to defend their ally. It only seems fair that if the Dragon Empire is put on the cutting block so should Yamato.

But that's just our two cents.

President Landry laughed out loud, "If the Empire is expelled and Yamato remains, the overwhelming hypocrisy would completely destroy the credibility of Pax Pacifica as a political entity."

It is unfortunate that East Asia remains one of the most instable regions of the world. Yamato is well known to be an imperialist aggressor and danger to world peace, however there is no need to take military action when diplomatic efforts are ongoing, even against Yamato.

What hypocrisy? Your nation initiated war with another signatory. Now listen up. Yamato maybe a nation of backstabbing rats, but we have no reason to expel them, as they have not violated any of the clauses of the treaty. If you can find where they have, please show us.

"I went ahead and withdrew us from the Pact. We are out of spirit with the Pact, we'll reapply once this issue is resolved."

In response to Tahoe:

"There is no military action besides a defensive build up currently in progress. The war from our side is little more than a political note that we are going to defend this ally and if Yamato aggresses the consequences will be severe. Since they initiated the war, we recognized the initiation and proposed very light surrender terms as a political means of ending this conflict without a drop of blood being shed. Right now, we're just waiting to see whether or not they'll go for it or actually engage us prompting the more severe terms. This is a shielding maneuver and as such the Empire hereby has named it, "Operation Asian Shield.""

"We are not disagreeing with your reasons for war as supporting a treaty partner is one of the best reasons to engage in hostilities. We are merely commenting that it is lamentable that East Asia remains one of the most unstable regions in the world and that perhaps engaging in hostilities during discussions is not wise. If discussions have broken down and are not progressing (as is want to happen with the Kyokujitsan race, they are a stubborn and none to intelligent people), than perhaps war can be considered."

I do not believe that the Dragon Empire has begun a war with Yamato. They are the aggressors.

The Melvin Republic has taken note of the warrantless diplomatic aggression Glorious Aotearoa is partaking in.

"Pax pacifica is a bloc, this would be like the DE attacking a dragon bloc member. A nap (or sovereignty clause) is a nap, and takes precedence over a defense pact. We understand the DE's reason's but it doesn't change that legalistic reality." - Thomas Devereaux

"NAPs have never super-ceded defense treaties. They're a lower class of clause. Defense is a tighter bind by far. That is why we are forced to protect Lu. Lu is also far more than just a Defense pact participant, they are also part of the Bloc which carries with it far more weight than a typical defense treaty. As far as we are concerned, they are part of our family."

I would argue that NAP's take precedent in the sense that if a defense or aggression clause can supersede them then there is no point in having one. Of course as I said the DE has a higher loyalty to the Dragon bloc, however its still in a legalistic sense a violation of pax pacifica. Its unfortunate but sometimes we tie ourselves into too many treaties and in pressing times have to favor one over the other. Such a time is now and you have chosen the dragon bloc as you rightfully should, but you can't really blame pax pacifica for taking action in response to a clear decision to disregard the bloc in favor of your own. *shrugs*

"Actually, we apologized to them and voluntarily withdrew. They understand this for what it is. We joined Pax Pacifica in the name of peace and non-aggression. Whether or not Yamato will admit it, they know full well their actions constitute indirect aggression against the Dragon Empire. Whether or not Pax Pacifica allows Yamato to use them, is up to them. I have strong confidence and faith in the other members of Pax Pacifica and I doubt that will happen."

Unless the Republic of Free Somal can cite treaty obligations, Aotearoa will have to cite our own, and prevent this force from reaching and invading Yamato

Necessary shipping are provided at Bosaso Naval Base from where the troops shall be transported to Lu Empire.

Since the Republic of Free Somal is a Dragon Bloc signatory they have an option to defend a fellow Dragon Bloc nation.

Defending our MDP partners through the Dragon Bloc are well within our treaty obligations.

"I truly feel sorry for your citizens. Their leader is willing to rush to war and make threats without even a grasp of the political climate they are participating in. As stated by my comrades, Somal is a fellow Dragon Bloc member."

France appeals for all parties in this dispute to remain calm and refrain from further escalations. War is disastrous to all and benefits no one.

However recognising that the aggravated parties are unlikely to back down at this point, the French government pledges its support for all innocent civilians who may be affected by this crisis. A naval task force centred around the aircraft carrier Jeanne d'Arc has been assembled and will set sail from La Rochelle immediately. They carry thousands of tonnes of emergency supplies and will assist the French Red Cross in distributing aid packages. They are expected to arrive at the conflict zone in two week's time.

We wish to be clear to all involved nations that the Jeanne d'Arc Task Force is under strict orders to stay within international waters and will not attack anyone unless fired upon first.

There need be no war if sense prevails in Yamato camp. The waters around Yamato are now under control of Cochin and Rebel Army Navies. We suggest you coordinate with Pax Pacis for any relief operations. We also suggest your navy to give notice to our forces in theater as that will enable us to create a safe passage for you. This is to preclude any accidents due to misunderstandings as we are at a high alert level.

I agree and would remind you that all DE and DB forces are acting in a defensive capacity at this time. None of our forces are seeking to project force against Yamato or Yamato's possesions.

DB will defend it's treaty partners to the fullest of our might against any of Yamato's unwarranted agression.

The Rebel Navy is currently stationed just outside of Yamato's waters/EEZ, in order to not provoke Yamato to attack them until war truly breaks out. We would suggest you do the same.

The RN has dispatched a number of transports to Somal to bring them over to the DE.

To Cochin and Rebel Army:

Be advised, ANBTLGRP 1 is operating in International Waters near Yamato. They are there for the sole purpose of monitering the situation. They will not fire unless fired upon.

We are doing the same. We suggest that in case of offensive operations our two navies cooperate. Operations shall be more effective that way.

Our First Battle Fleet comprises 3 Air craft carriers, 6 cruisers, 2 helicopter carriers, 2 Marine Divisions, a missile submarine and assorted escort ships.

Commander of A01/TF01, CNS Sakthan shall be the Battle Fleet Commander and is authorized to coordinate with your Navy.

May we enquire what class of vessel is ANBTLGRP 1?
