Margrave
Margrave Francis Guiscard, Premier of Constantinople and Ruler of the Noble Demesne of Strigia: "We, the Nation of Strigia, are proud to claim the holy blood line of the Normans, traced back to my ancestor Roger Guiscard, who was the father of Sicily, and whose bloodline conquered the ancient Byzantines. Seeing several nations emerge recently, all with claims to bloodlines related to our own, we wish to conference with them and see if there are any possibilities to work together and reunite the severed branches of the sacred tree of the Norman bloodline." Teriethien
"Norman? Us?" The French foreign minister's underlings looked at each other uncomfortably as their boss paced up and down his office, dismayed at having real work to think about. "The Scandinavians probably have a better claim to that lineage..." "But sir, are we going to ignore them?" Minister Jean-Baptiste Cheysson stopped mid-track with an annoyed look. "I was going to. Go draft me a response." The French government acknowledges the proposal from Strigia for a conference between the named states. Although we do not consider France to be a nation of Normans as such, we acknowledge that Normans originated in this land of the French and as such consider the various nations listed by the Premier to be our brethren. We will therefore be honoured to participate in talks with our brothers and sisters.Jean-Baptiste Cheysson, Ministère des Affaires étrangères

Teriethien
After a few bored days of having nothing to do, Minister Jean-Baptiste adopted a new hobby - overworking Special Envoy Lorelei Shimazu. A second note was drafted and transmitted to Strigia. The French government wishes to convey our sentiments to the Premier of Constantinople that, regardless of how or if other Norman nations may respond, France would nevertheless like to foster closer ties between Strigia and ourselves.Jean-Baptiste Cheysson, Ministère des Affaires étrangères

Margrave
King Vincent will attend this conference as the representative of the Norman homeland. Constantinople, Strigia: The Margrave: "Welcome, one and all. We're very pleased to see our Norman brthren meeting us here, and we would like to find a formal route to recognize a state of friendship and benefit between ourselves and our Norman brethren. Recognizing that we are far from the European homeland from which we sprung, we still hold to our culture...and now we look for a drawing together of the family of nations."
