And I don't think you'd question TPF's honor.I reread the logs tonight out of curiosity, and just as I remembered, when I came into teh chat, one of the RE head guys was talking about the messages he sent to GDA and GATO asking them to give us peace. I'm not quite sure what RE are talking about when they say we lied through omission, but if it's honesty that Roman Empire expects, it would seem odd they would have a treaty written up if they weren't planning on livign up to it. That would have been Folger. I was there that night. I'm the one that wrote up to treaty so to speak. Folger messaged them, asking to accept peace because GATO had posted their DoW. We asked if you or rather the ones in the room, knew this was going to happen and was told no. We believed that because we had no reason not to at the time and since we thought you would soon be our ally, we would try to end the war peacefully before we went to more forceful measures. As for the treaty, I started coming up with it as soon as we decided it would be an MDaOP. Even if it was signed by everyone and was considered active or whatever you want to call it, in legal terms it would have been signed under false pretenses which would void the treaty. I would also like to say that I'm sure TSM's comment in the log dump had a lot to do with it, but as far as i can tell they have apologized for it. BG. I didn't read the topic, but I will say, TPF and RE allying is really really good. It impresses me a lot that TPF is playing to win this round instead of just sitting around being content with #3.
