"When Pax Pacis was first formed it was made by one young woman who desired peace and a home away from violence and war. She had hoped to work towards establishing a world peace where humanity could live with one another for a better future. That hope was a failure. The crashing waves of reality brought her to her knees and she swiftly gave up on the ideal and fled from the public view and instead left it to us to continue alone." "And now we are left with our current situation, a country with a small, barely trained military with no path to follow and with its people left to wander and do as they please. I say this shall go on no longer. For their to be peace there must be control for without control there is only anarchy. It is with that reasoning that I hereby implement newer and harsher controls of this nation." "All citizens will follow these controls or face imprisonment or execution. All and any visiting foreign nationals will have to obtain permits and go through strict searches and may have their permits cancelled at any time. Thank you for listening, that is all". With the population still standing in shock at what had been said military and police units took to the streets to ensure that order was kept and that no civil disturbances occured. In soon became a common sight to see military soldiers walking the streets and military APC's parked at street corners and sideways. There were many measures being introduced which included a 7PM curfew for all members of the population and visitors unless they possessed the neccessary documents allowing them to move about. Regular searches of personal, transport and housing was carried out. All forms of drugs and firearms were banned from personal use and possession. We will be talking with our allies about what should be an appropriate response to what we perceive to be a new threat to the freedoms of the regional population inside of Pax Pacis." "Whilst Dragonisia wishes to state its opinion and view on the recent action undertaken by myself I wish to politly remind them that this is not their nation and that they should focus on their own nation rather than ours. King Kevz Posted July 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 4, 2009 With the new measures swiftly taking effect a minority of the population seemed to have taken to the streets to protest against the government. For now police and military units are watching and following the protest until they either disperse or they are forced to take action. However, in other news crime rates through out Pax Pacis cities have taken a steep decline as criminals find it harder to operate and some citizens have applauded the government for their new steps to security. But even in such times certain fundamental rights ought to be protected. The state is the guarantor of the safety of its citizens , and should not be a deliberate oppressor. We do not understand what event caused Pax Pacis to undertake such measures for these are acts of emergency. In these peaceful times surely there is no reason for such draconian measures. First Natarle Badgiruel says that without control there is anarchy, and then implements ridiculously strict and completely unnecessary policies, effectively turning Pax Pacis into a police state. That is like someone saying that good health is good for the people, then putting everyone who has a cold into a forced labor camp for being subversives. Any citizens of Pax Pacis who seek asylum in New Cymru are more than welcome. As of now, all goods heading overland to Pax Pacis through New Cymru shall be stopped at the border. King Kevz Posted July 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 4, 2009 A few hours after the protest began the Police were finally given the order to break it up seeing as there was almost no sign of it dispersing. Police troopers in riot gear approached the protesters and were met with harsh language and general shouting however, after they got much closer they were soon bombarded by projectiles from the crowd and even with their protection on a number of officers were injured. Using nearby fire trucks the Police began to attempt to hose down the crowd to force them to order but more members joined in from the general population and a number of police and fire vehicles were destroyed and damaged. Calling in for full support the police used every measure to tackle the riot that had sprung up, including using police helicopters. Issues suddenly became dangerous and deadly when a rocket of unknown orgin and make was fired at a police helicopter which was brought down in flames. Military forces responded quickly using lethal force to break up the crowd which quickly dispersed in minutes. We are particularly concerned with reports of heavy handed police treatments of civilians. Meanwhile, French citizens are advised against traveling to Pax Pacis for any reason. King Kevz Posted July 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 4, 2009 The situation continues to develop within Pax Pacis as more riots develop and two bomb attacks have been undertaken. Within the sleepy village of Xao Cang the residents rose up against the small police station within the village and burnt the station to the ground along with the dozen or so police officers inside, strangely this event is different to the main riots that occured earlier as it witnesses state that the residents seemed to be carrying out the attack with some hesitation as if they were forced to do it. Two smaller riots occured within the main city though they were dispersed by tear gas and force used by riot police officers with no fatalities, shortly afterwards the main police headquarters garage was destroyed by a car bomb driven into it by a suicide bomber. With these attacks and the possible third party influence securtiy force are now out in force with regular checkpoints and military patrols out on the streets. King Kevz Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 A recent raid carried out by military and police members lead to a insight into who had arranged these riots and attacks. It seems that Mr Zala who ran for office not long ago couldn't face losing and had used his vast funds to hire and fund a number of criminal organisations within Pax Pacis. It seems that word got out to the government about the possibilty of such attacks which brought on the sudden and drastic security measures. As of now Patrick Zala is to be arrested on sight and all of his assets are being seized, his son has already turned himself in and is now working towards capturing his father.
