Sargun II
"A year ago today (shut up), Louisiana voted to be free of Vinilandese control. Today, we go for a promised vote on whether or not to rejoin a Vinilandese protectorate or to permanently keep our independence. While the general quality of life has improved, more controversy and instability has rocked the foundations of this nation, and the election of a controversial President has proved too much for many of the population." ABC 14 News Channel anchorwoman Jane Dallas reported. "Several independent polls report that return to the protectorate may be a real option. It has yet to be seen what is to happen." ---

Manetheren
The Tahoe Republic supports a People's right to self determination. Consequently, if a majority of the people of Louisiana feel it necessary to break their nation to preserve their individual rights, we will support them. Sargun II
All Louisianian embassies have been recalled - if the vote proceeds without a change, new staff will be sent over.
Subtleknifewielder
OOC: I'm pretty sure he's not leaving no matter the result of the poll. If it's in favor of reintigrating into the Vinilandese Protectorate, he'll just RP Artemis Global Security. Am I right, Sargun? Sargun II
Polls are closing tonight. Publicly, the media has speculated that the right for full independence has barely over 50% of the current vote.
Sargun II
Polls have closed. The voters have chosen that they are unwilling to form a majority to vote for independence. That a majority does not wish to be free and other considerations, the vote has been called legally valid and Louisiana will return to a Vinilandese protectorate.
