Zarfef
This is an OOC thread for East Africa. Keep all OOC here or SpacingOutMan will exblope! OOC: Firestorm, you're ignoring my scout troops attacking your front lines in the Nation of Nod, I feel hurt! Nah, but do consider 'em and try to play out how it works by ear. Also, this is the place for all OOC in that thread, as much as things have really taken off, don't consider the battle done by any stretch. You may be winning the war in the northern section of the Aether Empire, but you have not yet won the war. It also doesn't affect things now because I already agreed to it... But I had a question for the DE. If you can wipe out tons of defense platforms and find them rapidly like you have, why was my static defense worse then a mobile one? Couldn't you have easily, no more easily, found a giant submarine floating with a region height shift vastly above the original ocean (as in a giant peak that looked like a long metal tube). I mean, a sub is already slow, so if I did have subs there instead of actual defense units, why would they be harder to find and kill then the defense units. (Also, wouldn't RADAR used by satellites to make such measurements be too large in wavelength and just scatter off the targets?) I mean, if what you are arguing is correct, it would seem that sub warfare would be useless as the entire advantage of subs (their stealth) is the same advantage of my system and you seemed to all out consider it a null point. Subs move, that about all they have as an advantage, and they are basically standing still compared to what you shot at my units (anti-sub cruise missiles). So in the future, if I upgraded to subs with say a Tech level 1500 nation, would you just be able to cruise missile those into extinction in the same manner and I other people's entire sub fleets, their stealth meaning nothing? Just some thoughts. Edited July 1, 2009 by Zarfef
