Subtleknifewielder
OOC: So how do we do this--provide a name and some general stats, and you randomly select those who qualify?
Executive Minister
The Nation of Nod would have sent its runners at once to this international event, however current circumstances have made it abundantly clear that the NoN will not be sending any personnel to this activity. All able bodied men and women are currently employed by the NoN's defence industries...

Maelstrom Vortex
Josef Stalin arrives from Dragonisia. He is rumored to have the endurance of a many men and serves as a very high ranking general in the Imperial Armies just under Anthony Davis. Despite the conflict looming at the borders, he has been granted leave to attend this event. It is hoped this war hero's guerrilla training will serve him well in navigating this course. Sargun II
A rather fit lad in his thirties showed up, a halo around his head, crown of thorns and holes in his hands. His name was 'Hey-soos' and says he can go for days without eating, drinking or sleeping and still have enough power to raise the dead. Lord Zephyr
Muhammad Ali: 38 years old, Muhammad is a retired Royal Guard member currently servicing our Foreign Affairs Minister. He has good leadership skills and has been rumored to lead hundreds of people from one city to another because of what he's said. Physically he is at the top of his game. As all members of the Royal Guard he has run across the desert many times, patrolled deep caverns, and sparred with most of the other guards. KaiserMelech Mikhail
A seemingly old man has chosen to register for the games. He carries a walking stick with him at all times, and is constantly accompanied by his brother, Aaron. He describes himself as being a long distance runner. Among his feats are a long distance trek from the Nile River to the Jordan, and a single-handed climb to the summit of a mountain twice, while carrying stone slabs. He has the distinct talent of drawing water from seemingly dry rocks. When asked his name, he responded, Moishe. Markus Wilding
OOC: THey all passed the initial run. IC: "So far we have only seen a few contestants pass; but the foreign competitors still remain! First up is...'Hay-Soos'. Well, let's see if he survives to raise himself from the dead!" 3 2 1 "And he hops across the Sextuple Step like it was nothing! He comes up on the Log Grip...he holds on tight...here he goes! NOOOOOOO! HE HAS FALLEN!!!!! HAY-SOOOOOOOOS! WHAT HAPPENED??! And now here is Josef Stalin, representing Dragonisia in our challenge. He readys...and he's off! He's across the Sextuple Step. He is doing good so far, but this is his real test! The Log Grip, where his fellow competitors have fallen! He grips it...and he makes it! Now he must contend with the Prism Tip. He runs up...and he makes it! Now he is at the Wall Climb. He runs up...and falls! He has 40 seconds left! He must hurry! He makes it on his second try! He now must make his way up the Rope Climb! Go, Josef Stalin, go! AND HE MAKES IT WITH 3 SECONDS LEFT! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, JOSEF STALIN HAS ADVANCED TO THE SECOND STAAAAAAAAGE! We will return to Sasuke adter this commercial break." Sargun II
Hey-soos has filed an official complaint regarding the "log grip" - as a man with less hand space than the rest (including lack of an entire hand) he is at a large disadvantage. A suit has been filed.
Subtleknifewielder
OOC: Oh my... can't stop laughing at the idea of him suing anyone...
Markus Wilding
Hey-soos has filed an official complaint regarding the "log grip" - as a man with less hand space than the rest (including lack of an entire hand) he is at a large disadvantage. A suit has been filed. The suit has been promptly ignored by Sasuke officials. Their response: "Try again next year." "We are back, and only 13 so far have advanced, including Dragonisia's Josef Stalin. At the top of the course now is Muhammed Ali. He prepares himself for his run...and he is off! The 38 year-old from Nod crosses the Sextuple Step just fine. He approaches the Log Grip, holding on for dear life! He hits the first bump...the second...OH! He nearly falls off at the third bump, but he tightens his resolve and moves on to the Prism Tip. He runs up - and down! He now is at the Wall Climb. He must hurry! 20 seconds remain! He can't keep his grip! 8 seconds left! He can't make it! Oh no! Muhammeeeeeed! What happened?! And now here is Nicole Ridman, a 25 year-old marathon runner from Promised Land! She begins on the Sextuple Step and glides across! The Log Grip is a formidable foe, apparently! She looks at it in disbelief! She grips it and goes down! She has made it - nearly falling on the second bump, but ultimately she makes it down! She continues to the Prism Tip. She runs up - and looses her balance! She has underestimated the Prism Tip! Oh no! A costly mistake that was!"

Markus Wilding
"Moishe is now at the top, and is currently the oldest man in our entire competition! He readys himself and is off! He takes the Sextuple Step slowly, hopping from one to the other. Odd, but not unheard of! He makes it through, though this may put a severe dent in his time! He climbs up to the Log Grip, grabs hold and shoves off! He hits the first, the second...and makes it back to dry ground! He managed to lose his walking stick in the process though! He forgets it and moves on to the Prism Tip. He runs across and makes it without breaking a sweat! He now faces a formidable foe, the Wall Climb, where Muhammed Ali failed last. He has 15 seconds left, so he must hurry! He grabs the rope and begins his climb. 10 seconds remain! 5...! 3...! AND HE HAS MADE IT! MOISHEEEEE!! Major Nair and Timothy Highden still remain, the last two foreign competitors. Night falls on the mountain as Timothy Highdens makes his way to the top of the stage. He begins with the Sextuple Step, showing us all how it should be done! He makes his way now to the Log Grip, holding on tight. First bump! Second bump! And he has made it! The Prism Tip is nothing as he runs across it. He is flying through this course! He is a strong contender for the Second Stage! He now approaches the Wall Climb. He gives a smile that tells me he has confidence! He begins climbing...but loses his grip! Such a costly mistake for the athlete from Promised Land! Oh no! Now our final contestant, Major Rahul Nair from the Kingdom of Cochin steps up to the plate. The starting bell rings and he is off! The Sextuple Step poses no challenge to him. He approaches the Log Grip...and goes down. First...Second and he is down os solid land! Although he stumbled a bit, he appears to be OK going through the - NOOOOO! I spoke too soon, it seems! He trips going through the Prism Tip, hitting his head on the way down! He is OK though, the medical team says he is fine. When we come back, the Second Stage! Brutal, challenging and like nothing the competitors have seen before! Edited July 13, 2009 by N Reeki
