The Red Sand Accords

Zarfef

Recommended Posts

*********THIS IS A SECRET MEETING TO BE HELD BETWEEN THE NATION OF RAOCHIN, THE NATION OF NOD AND THE AETHER EMPIRE*********

OOC: Only open to these three countries, the location is to be visited by all three leaders in a cavern near the boundary lines of all three nations. All three nations are allowed to bring private escorts but at the meeting no weapons are allowed by the leaders themselves nor soldiers. Furthermore, national militaries from all three sides are expected to defend the location while keeping a low profile to avoid any unwanted outsider interactions.

IC:

Zarfef arrives at the location via transport helicopter with twin Apache escorts, Aether Special ops guard the region but are ordered to the Eastern most end once the talks begin. An ornate wooden table is moved in with comfortable chairs and monitors and communication devices are set up leading back to the Aether Empire with the rest of their major proponents on the line via cable feed. The scene is a strange mesh of the old world and the new with the sand strewn carpet of the cave displaced by electronic cords and TV monitors.

The event is secret and to be known to no outside nations and is in respect to the recent movements of the Nation of Nod. It is not to weaken the Nation of Nod, but to strengthen all three nations. Zarfef has with him a treaty which he hopes the other two parties will agree to, its contents however and knowledge will be mostly a secret. The goal of this conference is to decide upon the national borders that will best suit all three nations while seeking to bring them together at a common table and hopefully a common alliance.

Lord Zephyr Takes his plane from Jizan with 20 of his best guards, two other plane accomanied him with 50 more.

The planes landed and The king arrived with the trail of 20 guards behind him. The rest secured the perimeter and set up locations where they could monitor the surroundings.

Only one guard entered the cavern and that was the captain Merlin Athrawes, who is not only the captain but a strong leader of the nation as well.

"Good evening, I hope you don't mind if I bring my guard captain in here do you? He's kind of my advisor as well."

Ziggy comes on from one of the back screens.

Ziggy: As long as he is unarmed beyond his bodily military facility... No weapons are allowed in the cave... man I wish we had Jordan in this event... This would have been cool if we had it take place at Petra!

OOC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petra

Zarfef: That's enough Ziggy. Zephyr, it is an honor to have you here, especially with all this silly babbling going on by so many foreign powers looking to meddle in our affairs. I think that together, we can make something here that will cause them to rethink their words a little more carefully in the future.

"We always have our swords with us, if you want you could bring in a few of your guards and give you some guns, I'm sure you'd feel much safer, though we're bother wearing Battle steel armor, so unless your a good shot I doubt you'd be able to stop us."

The emperor sighed and gave his sword to Merlin, who went outside and handed them to one of the other guards.

"Now we must wait for Nod's represenative." Zephyr said as he sat down and asked for some Rum.

Some rum was delivered by Zarfef, who having nothing better to do decided to play caterer.

Zarfef: Indeed we shall. I was actually thinking about something lately, do you think it would be impossible if this whole thing goes well for us to build a tunnel across the Red Sea. I was also wondering if you'd read the latest data intel on the weapons Tensor has been building for us?

"I was already considering doing such in a few area's. Though It'd be much easier with help from both of you."

"I've skimmed it, You have some interesting ideas going on. Perhaps our technologists could work together and create something... fun."

IC: After a time, news reached the delegation of the Executive Minister's envoy arriving.

A large, imposing figure clad in ceremonial robes disembarked the Modified MILAC-34 'Harbinger' Assault Transport, followed by a small group of Elite Cadre bodyguards.

The figure walked over to the delegates and sat down, without waiting for an invitation - his helmeted and visored head coming into the light above the table - there would be no small talk, as the EM had important matters to discuss...

Zarfef: Greetings Executive Minister. I am Zarfef of the Aether Empire and this (gesturing to Zephyr) is King Zephyr of Raochin. Please have a seat.

Zarfef: So, we should begin.

Zarfef: I think each of us has likely noticed that there are quite a few goody-two-shoes nations in the world that have nothing better to do then to run their feet towards giving us trouble. The most recent example that comes to mind for us is Somal and other leaders around the world took no heed to your nations ability when in terms when they criticized your latest actions unabashed. Their ignorant and hurtful words are like mosquitoes but the real concern is if they ever act against any one of us. Their organizations seem far too "willing" to step in and take action and on our own I think we each would have a hard time dealing with their "coalitions of the good".

Zarfef: That stated, I devised a plan, to bring us under a common banner because we share many common characteristics. Both yourself for instance and Zephyr have underground infrastructure to a high degree and together could benefit from the expansion of these through unified technology and a common goal.

Zarfef: When we wish to act in world affairs we desire allies that can hold us back if need be if the threat is too large but ultimately we want friends that will back us up when we move to act against "future threats", important territories or nations that have attacked us.

Zarfef: Finally with a wide array of national improvements we've each put into play, each of can utilize the strengths of the other as we need them. If your factories are under fire, you may feel free to use mine as mine are in abundance, and if I need to use one of Zephyr's hospitals I could do the same.

Zarfef: Together, we can gain peace through power, and power through unity. These are the components I'd like to PERSONALLY see in a pact between our nations.

Mutual Aggression Pact

Mutual Defense Pact

Mutual Shared Technology Pact

Shared Improvement Pact

Joint Wonder Construction Pact

Zarfef: Then there is the current issue of land. I agree the philosophies of Nod run far and wide and I don't doubt your ability to govern the region, but you will be border a total of eight nations. Six of which, even with this accord will pose a threat to you, while I'd be bordering really no agressive nations and Zephyr already has the Rebel Army and some Babylonian protectorate turned nation in his region. Frankly I like having two buffer states, but I don't think it's quite fair having my army do none of the guarding with such a large border-region.

Zarfef: I am proposing that we share the weight but gain some of the land for the purposes of resources and strength. It's getting a bit crowded in the Aether Empire and I'd like to acquire lands that border Somal and Korriban. I'd like the Nation of Nod to hold the largest territory and guard against the Kingdom of Serca and The Republic and I'd like to see the border of Zephyr extended along the north against to guard against the Rebel Army and whatever nation they place in as their protectorate. That gives us each two nations and it is hoped that not all six of them will ever jump in on a fight.

Zarfef: Thus given that they'd never be granted the right to move through our territories to attack you. It should complicate greatly their plans of attack and it would make sure that the ranks of your armies in standing don't have to focus on running non-stop just to patrol such a massive border. It is certainly necessary for the Nation of Nod to expand and we believe you should gain the greatest portion of the lands, but it is also necessary for us to expand and we don't want to be left looking at you for the expansion and would prefer to take the opportunity of the chaos that has been now to do that. We may as well each stand by each others side instead any one of us against the entire world no?

Zephyr Coughs at the mention of King, he hasn't been a king for a while since becoming emperor...

I agree fully with most of what Zarfef has mentioned here, I don't really like having to guard against Rebel Army, but hell I'd be screwed anyway if he decided to attack, so might as well make it as much of a pain as possible.

There is the problem of my small army, but if Nod can provide protection for the Eritrean territory from the west, then I can easily defend the northern border.

The Executive Minister looked at the man named Zarfef...he had an uncanny resemblance to his most hated enemy, Kane...

However, the EM shrugged off such feelings as mere paranoia on his part, and listened to what he had to say...at the mention of a unified banner, the EM was revulsed...he did not change his Nation's iconography to bend to the will of the Brotherhood of Nod (which appeared to be reincarnated in the far North), so why would he deign to change it for this man?

"I vehemently oppose such a banner...unless all parties involved wished to adopt our iconography... however, I do believe in a joint co-operation against outside influences and welcome such an offer of mutual existance, co-operation and defence..."

On the notions of land and technology, however, the EM was extremely reluctant... The NoN relied on the enemy being shocked and awed / appaled at their military capabilies - widespread sharing of such would negate that factor. He was, however, partial to the treaty members being the recipients of 'Export models' and taking part in a wide-spread 'We deliver, you test' programme.

The land was a very significant issue, and the EM addressed it directly...

"Before any such land transfers and divying take place, we would like to see what you propose....our military has faced the brunt of the invasion's casualties, and we would not simply give-up any of their sacrifices...

...on more pressing concerns, I would like to discuss the intentions in the west, projecting their power into the East...if we were to combine our might, what would become of your pact?"

All in all, these accords were very interesting indeed to the Nation of Nod...

It is a phrase of speech meaning we stand together instead of opposed to one another. I no more want to give up my flag then you want to give up yours believe me.

"Before any such land transfers and divying take place, we would like to see what you propose....our military has faced the brunt of the invasion's casualties, and we would not simply give-up any of their sacrifices..."

Zarfef: I wouldn't want-

Suddenly Von Zak cut in from the back...

Von Zak: Sir, we have recieved word that Rebel Army and Mechodamia are mobilizing troops against the Nation of Nod. Nod forces are also facing high resistance in our territory from ISoA forces.

Von Zak then reads the declaration to the three leaders. (See the other RP, it's too long to repost :P)

Zarfef: What?! Very well then Executive Minister. It seems we come to an interesting turning point, what I propose is that our air-planes stop their interference with your ground forces in the region, we add 10,000 soldiers to mop down the ISoA there and we send half of our attack force to the East to back up your forces there against the "Global Police Initiative" in defense and keep the other half on defense against Somal in case they move against us. In the meantime...

Zarfef: Von Zepplin you quiet old goat.

Von Zepplin: I refer to be given the title Sea Bass.

Zarfef: Eh, sure. I need some forces maneuvered around to the far side of Africa, if this battle takes place I want the space elevator, it must be ours if hostilities rise. Von Zuk, I need you to organize a strategy for the use of terrain amplifies to set up key locations for our forces to defend should the battle rise. Von Zak... I think the Nation of Nod has enough in the way of trouble at the moment, call of the air-units and proceed to keep air-superiority against all non-Nod, non-Raochin, non-Aether air-units.

Zarfef: Does THAT sound like a good proposal?

<snipped>

"Well, then...the Nation of Nod formally declares its acceptance of the Red Sand Accord, but asks that the aid be totally redirected to the west. May the sands be red with the blood of our enemies..."

The EM sighed with relief internally...the implications were boundless....the USM would need a substancial airlifter capability in order to reach the East... Aether and Roachin airforces would provide cover to his ground troops, while his forces would be bunkered down well enough to survive any cruise missile or ICBM attacks that made it through the cordon...the NoN would fight for its right to exist...

"It seems we're all at an agreement, Lets sign this thing at get to our battlestations shall we?"

He nodded to Merlin, who then conveyed the order to the nearest long range communicator to start troop movements and reordering of battle emplacements.

The emperor finished off the last of the rum and waited to sign the document.

Zarfef was brewing about something else... apparently Von Zepplin had just informed him of what Ziggy had run off and done.

Zarfef: HE DID WHAT?! I'm going to strangle that boy alive!

Von Zepplin: I understand, our ability to aim chemical weapons at enemy civilian population centers and torture enemy combatants is a-

Zarfef: NO! The part about bringing our evil organization onto the world stage! I was going to do the other stuff myself, but I wasn't so self-pompous to brag about it. Ah... yes I too think it is time to sign these accords, Von Zuk start mobilizing our troops have the tanks move in high speed mode to the region of interest using roads and then have their components trailing in military transport trucks.

Zarfef: I'm going to contact Somal, it would be good if we could have one less enemy in this conflict so we can focus soley on the west. Let's get this party started.

Zarfef bowed slightly to both other world leaders.

Zarfef: It has been an honor. Let's get this signed, I've already put my troops forward to let them rock and roll... also (hands the Executive Minister and Emperor Zephyr some documents) These are the current specs of Aether units they may prove useful to look over given that our forces will be in the area soon (see Aether Empire factbook).

OOC: I haven't eaten since 12:00 yesterday and... well I'm kinda hungry and have a Thesis to write up, we all understand the treaty correct? Zephyr if you could place it together We'll each look it over and I'll sign it. We'll figure out how land should be divided on the final map (not just the general regions) after we slice and dice and push back these other nations. Look forward to strategizing with you, be sure to PM me! I want to work out some deviant attacks if they keep pushing forward.
