Groucho Marx
Agreed. I find threefingeredguy's guide to be the best I've ever tried to follow. Yeah it is pretty good.
Jinnai
Good job. Still missing some treaty types. Off the top of my head...SISTER (Security, Information Sharing, Trade, and Economic Relief) treaty.
baseballer790
Those treaties aren't really used anymore, I don't believe

Machiabelly
I don't know if I would say that an alliance is forced to disband at the end of every inter alliance war.
Neo Uruk
Those treaties aren't really used anymore, I don't believe FCC still uses them, apparently.
baseballer790
I don't know if I would say that an alliance is forced to disband at the end of every inter alliance war. I said they usually end with one or more alliances disbanding
Neo Uruk
Events leading up to these wars are often referred to as "Drama" and at the end, one or more alliances will be destroyed and have to disband. Key word is have.
Laomedon
A nice, concise primer on international relations. Thanks, baseballer790.
anenu
I think it is more accurate to describe alliance as real world nations. Personally i think it would be simpler if instead of controlling "nations" we controlled states or cities.
Machiabelly
I said they usually end with one or more alliances disbanding Actually, no, you didn't... Events leading up to these wars are often referred to as "Drama" and at the end, one or more alliances will be destroyed and have to disband. King Silas
THANK YOU BASEBALLER!!!!!! I mixed up the aid treaties and stuff calling it: F.A.T.E. = Foreign Aid and Tech Exchange treaty, boy oh boy, it's a good thing this came along
Andrew425
"and at the end, one or more alliances will be destroyed and have to disband." I think a usually or can would fit into that sentence.
SunnyInc
You probably defined an ODP incorrectly. It's more like "an agreement to defend each other when convenient. If attacked by a superior force, it means nothing to 90% of Planet Bob's population." Oh don't we have a dark but clever sense of humour now? The meaning of treaties vary depending on who signs it but in lamen's terms, Basbeballer nailed it on the head. If she was going to be accurately cynical, she should have said MDAP rather than ODP. Fact is, treaties don't mean ****. If your treaty partner wouldn't protect you without the treaty, it's likely (but not definitely) useless.
