A man stood upon a podium, looking down at a fleet of over a hundred news reporters from all of Wales, Europe and The World. He stood, then waited some more. Before walking up to a microphone... he began to speak, in his native welsh tongue.

"Good evening, I am Bryn Jones. I am here in front of my native peoples today in search for a new beginning, a fresh dawn for the Welsh people. I am the brother of the late Empress Catherine Jones of the Welsh Empire. I do not dispute the Proxian Kings claims to the old territories of the Empire, in fact I endorse it. There is one thing though I cannot allow in good thought and that is the governance of the Welsh peoples by a foreigner. No matter how decent that man is, it is not appropriate. I do, in fact have a lot of respect for the Proxian King but i cannot support his governance over Wales. I am therefore inclined to declare independence for Wales in my name from the Proxian Empire. I look forward to a day when a Kingdom of Wales can work side by side with the Proxian Empire once again.

I have not been in the public eye at all since my sisters coronation, but i feel inclined to show my face now, not for myself but for the people of Wales.

o/ The Kingdom of Wales."

The Welsh National Anthem started to play quietly in background. Bryn, stepped down from the podium and slowly backed away from the microphone. The crowd erupted into cheers of Cymru Am Byth, Cymru am byth, Cymru am byth (wales forever).

OOC: Hi

Norsvea supports Wales under a Welsh throne, and Far Betrakte would like to send his thanks and a tub of lingonberry jam to the royal house. "Best jam in all of Europe," Erik adds.

"We thank you for your support and it really is appreciated, As is the fine jam you sent. Diolch." King Bryn Jones I of Wales

"As King Douglas of the Proxian Empire, I hereby grant Bryn Jones control of a fully independent Wales."

"I thank you for this, I hope the great relationship between the Welsh and Proxians can be continued on into the future."

Novus Niciae recognises the independent Welsh and offers to exchange diplomats to facilitate a closer relationship between the Welsh & Nician peoples.

"Thank you, and of course we accept your offer. There are many embassy buildings in Cardiff that you may choose from at will. Please excuse us for a while, as we need to sort a few things out before we decide who will represent the Kingdom in Novus Nicae.

"How has it been? We should sit down for tea some time."

It's been a tough few months, your mother and I were close. I know this is what she'd want though. We definitely should, I could really use your advice on some things. How have you been coping since your mother's passing?

"I find myself depressed. I mean, for the past few years, I have been detached from her. Now, just when I thought we were getting close, she...she... Well, I wouldnt mind meeting a long lost uncle. When you have time, come visit."
