The reputation of LE can easily be summed up: - We always do what what we say we will do; and - We are very good at war. The poster suggested that an individual should attempt to "salvage" the reputation of the Lafayette Escadrille, however, and that is what I addressed. 2 things have changed this round: I am an active and vocal (forum-wise) leader, and I turned the membership loose to post on the board. I also do not care for IRC or massive amounts of PMs in my inbox. In every other respect, the actions of the Lafayette Escadrille are identical to every other round. We fight hard, we fight with no malice, and we respect our enemies, when they earn that respect. This round, the Knights and the Red Guard have earned our respect. The IDIOTS have not. We never asked for or sought your respect. The fact is simple IDIOT was not a match militarily for LE. That is no secret. We had no government, no leader, no MoW and most of our ranks were made up of people recovering from tech raids. Our professed purpose was to have good time and make TE more fun. Instead of judging me on how I fight LE 3 vs 1 against a surprise attack why don't you and I fight heads up for the duration on day 21 of next round. No interference from any other nations. You profess to be looking for a good fight. I can give you one. I finished #1 in casualties and #2 in casualties of the last 2 rounds, respectively. If not then stop dragging IDIOTs name through the mud. What is done is done. Edit- Correction #2 was last round #1 was 2 rounds ago. Any alliance in which 98% of the nations do so is pretty pathetic. It is a game; pixels cost nothing, why not cowboy up and fight? One on one in this game is pointless, but sure, I will be happy to do it whenever you want. Just declare war on me when you are ready and it will be game on! Your nations may not have been as strong, but the difference between the Lafayette Escadrille and the IDIOTS stats was not that far apart until about 15 minutes after we declared war. I'll even agree not to tech raid other nations prior to day 30 if you will to erase any doubts of impropriety but that is your call. I don't need the favor of first attack we can start at 12:00 game time on July 26th. Nukes or not is up to you. I just remembered I have a beach trip from June 27th nto July 4th so I will be inactive then but it shouldn't affect the outcome I'll just need to hussle after reset. Edit- If one of us is half the nation strength of the other and battle is impossible I would assume that nation forfeits. The only issue is that the first round of anarchies have passed, and it is getting very hard to determine which nations have not been hit, and which have been peaced. Some nations are also violating parole, so we need to resolve the situation one way or the other real soon. End the War or Total war. Either works, I just need an indication which way The Red Guard wants to go. As of right now, I can not guarantee that a nation that peaces out will not be hit again. We have methods in place to address this, but after about 4 days of War, the data multiplies so rapidly that it would require a paid position to keep up. Salute the Red Guard!
