Nation of the Wind and Sun

Sendai, Hanseatic Commonwealth

Kawasaki Shozo looked out the window at the sun reflecting in the cobalt blue sea. The Fuyo-clann had finally settled in what was “home” in Tohoku. The problem of population imbalance, where most of the population were in Kanto, would be alleviated.

However, the Neo Japanese were not happy with the influx of “alien” people. Although the Fuyo-clann had no problem with their hostile cousins, the bigots felt that the Gaelic-infused culture and the Catholic faith was a threat.

Population was the biggest irritation. The Fuyo-clann numbered over 4.8 million, almost reaching half of the number of Neo Japanese. This caused great anxiety among the proud Neo Japanese who did not tolerate challenges to their hegemony, and only the benevolent rule of the Lady Protector prevented things from exploding.

Nevertheless, this did not stop the Solar Wind from upholding the Lady's visions of a peaceful, prosperous, multi-cultural Japan. They would stand by that dream, for they too believed in it.
