IC: Pax Mediterrania Mutual Defense, Optional Aggression, and Economic Treaty Article I. Introduction In recognition of the friendship between the Rebel Army, Ile de Noir and Gebiv, we, the undersigned delegates, do hereby ordain this bloc treaty of mutual defence, optional mutual aggression, and economic friendliness to be a lasting covenant between our three nations. Article II. Withdrawal If, at any time, one nation does not desire to maintain membership in this bloc, they may withdraw by entering a 72 hour withdrawal phase. If this phase is not stopped by the nation who initiated it, they shall be removed from this bloc and all of its binding agreements. Article III. Non-Aggression None of the nations shall engage in hostile acts against the other nations of this bloc. Hostile acts are defined as actions which have the intention to harm the other nation. In the event such acts happen, the nation at fault is expected to pay equal reparations, if requested. Article IV. Mutual Defense In the event any nation falls under attack, the other nations are required to come to its defence and declare war on the nation that attacked it. A war on one nation is a war on all three. Article V. Option Mutual Aggression If one nations is about to go on a war of aggression, it may inform the others in an attempt for them to all be in the war. If a nation receives this notice, is is highly encouraged to join in the war if it does not have any conflicting treaties. Article VI. Economic (Modified in Amendment II) All nations are required to not put any tariffs on imports from the other nations, and shall engage in free trade. In addition, they will allow free naval passage (Gibraltar and Suez) for their civilian vessels. Article VII. Amendments At any time, if all nations agree on a change to be made to this treaty, in any part, they may do so. Article VIII. Nuclear Retaliation (Amendment II) All nations in this pact agree that if a signatory is attacked with nuclear weaponry, they are free to and encouraged to retaliate with their own nuclear arsenal. Signatures: Signed for the Rebel Army, Lavo, Prime Minister of the Rebel Army Mohammed Hazzan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Rebel Army Signed for Gebiv, Julius Rizzo, Head Delegate of Sicilia Antonio Bernoulli, Head Delegate of Italia Pierre D'Aubigne, Head Delegate of Nord Azem Gjokaj, Head Delegate of Est Antoinette Rousseau, Head Delegate of Cartagine Alfredo Rizzo, Head Delegate of Baleares Empress Gebiv I, Empress of the Nation and Acting Head Delegate of Sardegna Article VI has been modified, Article VIII has been added, and Ile de Noir's signatures have been removed as they no longer exist.
