sir jesus
President Landry of the Melvin Republic got off the phone with Johnny Bo of Louisiana. She smiled and prepared the TV Cameras... "I am proud to announce a partnership with Louisiana, which will hopefully bring us together diplomatically and will certainly increase their military prowess. We will jointly produce a world-class airforce, using each nations' strengths to the fullest. Louisiana will provide the partnership with creativity and design, and the Melvin Republic will provide the technological and industrial facilities and will assist with it brightest minds, even if their imagination is a little ... dim *chuckles* The nation of Louisiana has already sent its scientists to occupy the Melvin Republic's facilities, and designing is already under way. I am now issuing a government bond at 7% interest to fund the necessary industry and laboratory conversion. More information will be released as the program advances. Thank you for your time." Markus Wilding
OOC: I like how people think it's there just vecause the map shows it and yet there isn't an announcement of a merger.
Sargun II
Scientist and ex-Artemis designer Dreyfus Myrtle was sent along with a team of understaffed and highly overworked engineers. They had an exciting plan for a far-future fighter, though they would have to tone it down. The blueprints still had high expectations that could not be matched but most of it could. And it looked bad-$@! to boot. As they walked into the facility, Myrtle grabbed his briefcase and pulled out a long, blue parchment and set it face down on an illuminated table. "Turn it over." sir jesus
President Landry brought the schematic up on her computer screen. "Wow, that looks amazing." Her economic aide stepped forth, "And expensive, extremely expensive. With the current situation at hand, I don't think the money spent on this project will be well accepted by the people." She chuckled, "You fool, our Republicans love their aircraft. Our last tax hike for aircraft modernization had a 94% approval rating, and those fighters looked about as half as amazing as this one." Message to Dreyfus Myrtle from President Landry: Love the designs for our air supremacy fighter, the Melvin Republic approves. Please send preliminary specs and weapon-types whenever they are designed, so that our research may begin on industry conversion.
Sargun II
It had been months. After agonizing political briefings in Louisiana, materials were processed and shipped to the Melvin Republic. The scientists were eager to get this done; with the new United States and all of the new power wielded with it, they were ushered into a phase where the first planes were being built. "We'll bring in a few US pilots, do you have any people willing to take the risk?"
sir jesus
There are many Republican pilots who will do anything for some fame and a nice amount of cash. We can certainly provide aeronautical assistance. My advisors report that things have been running smoothly in the labs and we may have industrial drafts in the near future. We are excited to se what can come of this project.
