Good Evening, today marks the second day of the new Schwarze Administration for the Federal Republic of Reine Wald. Earlier this week, the nations last line in the Royal Family, Prince Friedan passed away from thyroid cancer. Taking charge of the new government is former Reine Walden Naval Admiral, Karl F. Schwarze. Schwarze has been working with the former Prince on governmental strategy for years now, and was picked by Prince Friedan himself as his successor to Head of State. Hans Marshall was there today at the press conference concerning Reine Walden arms stockpiles. Hans

Yes, thank you Anita. Earlier today I met with the former Admiral in his personal study in the Parliament House. We spoke about his plans for economic restructuring, military strategy, and his plans on rebuilding the Nord Dam.

20071002_prince_erik_blackwater_18.jpg

To be honest Mr. Marshall, this is a completely different world for me. As much as Ive been with the Royal Family in their diplomatic affairs, I have yet to fully grasp the whole idea of Diplomacy. Its a whole new ball game. Id like to look at this nation as a giant fleet of ships; but Im afraid it just doesnt work that way. Nobody truly realizes how tough this job is until theyre sitting in the hot seat dealing with a Nuclear Armed madman Fifteen Hundred Miles away. No amount of military experience can prepare you for peace talks, or simple diplomatic visits. It is going to take me some time to become accustomed to this new position, but I feel that after some time and support from my fellow people, I will be as great a leader as Prince Friedan was.

Afterwards he took me around the halls of the newly built Parliament Building. The halls were decorated with various paintings of Reine Walds history, all framed with gold. We had planned on having lunch in the Royal Dining Hall, but protesters outside were deemed too violent, so my day with the Admiral was cut short. I do however see him as an excellent choice for the new President of Reine Wald. I look forward to this new demonstration. RWNA Chief Federal Reporter, Hans Marshall, RWNA news.

We cut now to the recent protests concerning enviIm sorrywe seem to have breaking news. The screen goes blank for a moment, and is replaced with RWNA will continue broadcasting momentarily in small white letters constantly scrolling across the screen. A few moments later, Ms. Yacovcha appears on the screen again.

The QMFA building four blocks from the Parliament Building seems to has caught fire. It is understood that the terrorist organization Black November has claimed responsibility. This marks the fourth major attack by the BN group. Five BN members were killed on site soon after the explosions by local Police. Three more were seen driving away in large vans. Well have more on this once the site is contained. I apologize, but due to power shortages, we will have to cease broadcasting tonight. This is Anita Yacovcha, signing off for Thursday, May 21st, 2009.

At that moment, the screen went dark for the night. I sat around the television set for a few minutes afterward. I pondered whether or not my taking of the Presidential position was the right choice. Ive had many supporters over the years, but I fear I have made more enemies than allies. I decided to call a good friend of mine I had served with in the First and Second Martobic wars. As I picked up the phone, I noticed a light in the reflection of the glass table the phone sat upon. I peered through the window to spot the source of this light. It was a small airplane flying in the cloudless, night sky. It reminded me of my aviation years, when I viewed the world from thousands of feet above. Where targets were mere blips on the radar. War was a lot less personal for me back then. Now, its completely different. But the war I fight today isnt the conventional army-army war fought before. Its less conventional, with the OPFOR appearing as civilians. Things are nothing like the used to be. As I dialed the numbers on the phone, I thought about what I might say to him. My thoughts were cut short as I heard his voice on the other line.

Hello? he said in a tired voice.

Hey, its me, Karl. Are you still in the Economic Sector? I had to ask, for embarrassingly enough I havent spoken to him in so long. Kind of sad considering we had once been the best of friends.

Karl? OH! I saw you on the television a moment ago! Whats going on man? The BN gang hated the principality; they shouldnt be continuing their attacks now that Friedans dead. None of this makes sense my good friend. By I digress. No, I havent worked with the RWEC for three years now. You were there for my retirement ceremony. Whats going on with you man?I struggled to remember the event he spoke of.

Damn. Im sorry. I have a feeling this stress comes with the job. I dont know whats going on to be honest. And I agree, none of this makes sense. But then, what DOES make sense nowadays? After some reminiscing on our pasts, he told me he had to run an errand and offered to take me to lunch to following day. I wanted to say yes, but the next day I had planned on meeting with the RWFEC to discuss the Federal Economic status.

After my bodyguards were armed, I proceeded to take a nightly stroll about the city. The cool breeze felt good, and was the only truly relaxing thing I had felt the whole day. I walked to local airport to meet with foreign ambassadors that I had heard were coming to meet the new head of Reine Wald.

airport%20small.jpg

The airport wasnt big, and I feared the great leaders of the world may own jets far too large to land on such a meager runway. The military bases tarmac was much larger, but I feared again that the incoming jets would not be confirmed to land on the bases runway. My pondering was cut short by my personal bodyguard and good friend Gustav Bleiss.

Sir, the first jet is arriving.

Herzeleid Airspace, Reine Wald

"We are now beginning our descent into Herzeleid. Please buckle your seat belts and prepare for landing."

Lance Pikachurin smiled as the plane descended into the capital of Reine Wald. This was his first foreign visit to a non-TDO nation. He was looking forward to meet the new leader of Reine Wald, Admiral Schwarze. He brought several people with him - the Royal Triumvirate, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Pikachurin looked outside. The airport's runway was small, but it was wide enough to accommodate the Government of Disparu's private Learjet.

"Hopefully, this visit will go well" said Pikachurin.

"Don't worry" said Wallace Muddkip, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. "You've done a lot of visits to other nations, and all of them went okay".

As the jet landed, Mr. Bleiss advised me that the runway was secured with Armoured Vehicals, and that he felt worried this may be another attack from the BN group.

"Sir, this is the first visitor to Reine Wald in 4 years. With all due respect, you didn't plan this nearly as well as you could have," he said with a worried look.

I rested my hand on his shoulder, and ensured him that this was a peaceful motion, and that no harm would come of it.

"Gustav, you don't honestly think that I would let the RWASA (Reine Walden Air Security Administration) let these men into our borders without checking them out? This will go fine, just act professional like you always do, and make sure you show them that the Reine Walden military is just as disciplined as the Industrialized Nations."

He saluted me with a prompt "Oorah" and walked towards the now parked jet on the tarmac. He proceeded to open the door as his men formed two columns with a space two meters in between. As each diplomat exited the jet, they were greeted with a crisp salute from Volks Lieutenant Bleiss and walked in between the two squads as the soldiers presented arms. As the last diplomat exited the side ceremony, the soldiers formed on Bleiss and created a circle around the Admiral and Lance Pikachurin. The other Diplomats were asked to walk apart from the two, as it is protocol for there to be only one foreign ambassador present with the Admiral.

Admiral Schwarze stopped on the edge of the tarmac back on his way to the regional ambassador corps office and looked into the starry night sky.

"Amazing what you can miss if you don't look up. There's so many natural wonders in this world, that we fail to realize that there are so many more beyond our terresterial borders. But, until that kind of travel is even concievable, it's just a painting in the sky."

He walked with Pikachurin escorted only by Mr. Bleiss, and entered the RAC Office. He offered Pikachurin a drink from the upstairs bar. He made himself a drink and walked to the window and peared down upon the learjet parked on the tarmac. The lights from the runway lit his face in the dark room.

"I think this is the first time I've seen a jet that wasn't strapped with a Sidewinder or two. When I think of an airplane, I see a military jet. When I think of a boat, I think of an Aircraft Carrier. Of course, this happens to everyone who's served. But enough about that. I'm Admiral Karl F. Schwarze, now President of the Federal Republic of Reine Wald."

He turned around, took a sip of his drink, and smiled.

"To whom do I owe this toast?"

Pikachurin raised his drink and said, "A toast to you, Admiral, for becoming Reine Wald's next leader. It is an honour to finally meet you in person." Pikachurin took out a small thermometer-like device from his pocket, removed the lid, dipped it into the drink, and waited while the device hummed. It beeped once, then stopped humming. Apparently satisfied with the results, Pikachurin took out the device and threw it into the nearest trash can.

"I apologize for my slight paranoia, Admiral. With the current Karma War going on, I have to keep my guard up at all times." Pikachurin took a sip of his drink, then looked out of the window. "I don't mean to be rude, Admiral, but what happened to my diplomats? I can't see them anywhere."

He smiled and looked over at his guest.

"They've been taken to the other side of this building to fill out some paperwork to acquire security clearances for themselves and yourself. It's protocol I'm afraid. They're being treated with upmost regard however, and I'm sure they are enjoying the hospitality. I must apologize for the lights however; we've been having power shortages since the main electric substation was attacked earlier last week. Apparently not everyone is pleased with the news of me taking command of this nation."

He chuckled as the lights came on as he finished his sentence.

Grobes International Conference Hall

"If you plan on staying the night here, you and your staff may use the Grobes Conference Hall. There are several suites on the 7th floor, and to my knowledge they're stocked for arriving guests. I doubt it's at capacity; we don't have visitors much anymore thanks to the BN attacks. But there's a limo outside if you want a tour of our capital."

"Thank you for your hospitality, Admiral. A tour of Herzeleid would be nice, but I'd like to speak with my staff before we go." said Pikachurin.

Pikachurin suddenly remembered the news report about Black November, a terrorist group, burning down a building near Reine Wald's Parliament. In his mind, he saw the Grobes Conference Hall exploding, with the 1812 Overture playing in the background. He winced at that thought.

"Admiral, how secure is the Grobes Conference Hall? It won't be good if I and my staff get vaporized before we get back to Disparu."

"Fortunately for you, the Grobes Conference Hall is one of three places in this city that I am 100% confident the security is unbreakable. The other three are the Royal Palace, the Parliament building itself, and the airport and the area around it. As much as I'd love to brag about our security forces, we're undermanned. But yes, you'll be safe at the conference hall. There's a garrison of Honor Guards attached to that sector, and they're among the highest trained we have. But if you wish, I can send two or three Leopards to the building."

He pointed a painting across the room and asked with a curious look,

"Did you ever serve in your nation's forces?"

Pikachurin was taken aback by the question. "Unfortunately, no."

He looked out of the window, scanned the sky for incoming airplanes, then said, "Admiral, are we still expecting any foreign diplomats?"

But before the Admiral could answer, there was a sudden knock on the door.

"It seems your men have filled out the paperwork. Let them in Mr. Bleiss."

Bleiss peered through the peephole, and let in the foreign officials.

"Good to have you. Sorry about the paperwork, it's a necessary formality. I do hope more people come soon. This is first time Reine Wald has opened its borders in years. It would be a shame to not have many ambassadors show."

Admiral Schwarze signalled his bodyguards outside that he would be on the move soon. Mr. Bleiss saw the hand motion as well, and asked the officials to follow him to the limo waiting downstairs.

"Now about that tour...." said the Admiral.

"Yes, Admiral?", asked Pikachurin as they exited the room. The diplomats waited for them outside, and they all looked annoyed.

"Did you introduce us?", asked one of them.

Pikachurin smiled. "My apologies, I forgot to introduce ourselves."

"I am Lance Pikachurin, current Chancellor of the Federation of Disparu, and the representative of Her Majesty Queen Caitlin Darach I."

"This is Wallace Muddkip, my Minister of Foreign Affairs. And this is Cynthia Celeste, my Minister of Internal Affairs." As he said that, they both reached out their hands to shake hands with the Admiral.

"This is Rowan Atkin, the Executive Triumvir. This is Spencer Fowl, the Legislative Triumvir. And this is Jack Chiron, the Judicial Triumvir. The three of them also shook hands with Admiral Schwarze.

"Everyone, this is Admiral Schwarze, the current leader of Reine Wald. He has offered us a tour of Herzeleid."

Supreme Commisar N. Reeki had recently arrived. With him were four members of the Wehrmacht, the USB's military. He stepped forward, told two of the four to guard his understudies then looked for an official.

His understudies stepped off the plane also, Hidolf Atler, a young man with whom N. Reeki hoped would rule the USB someday. With him was Markus Wilding, who N. Reeki chose to be his foriegn affairs spokesperson. They both recieved their guards and looked for officials...

OOC: It's been a while since I RP'ed the Reekster...let's see how this goes.

Admiral Schwarze turned to the diplomats from Disparu, and greeted them compassionately.

"It is good to have all of you here. Now if you'll excuse me, there's seems to be another aircraft arriving."

He, along with Mr. Bleiss, walked out of the building towards the tarmac where now two jets sat. While he walked up to the plane, eight soldiers ran forward of him to commence yet another side detail. After they were finished, the Admiral walked over to the diplomats and greeted them.

"Good evening, I apologize for the small runway. I am Admiral Schwarze, now President of the Federal Republic of Reine Wald. Welcome to Herzeleid."

Lance Pikachurin and his diplomats followed the Admiral as he walked over to the new plane parked in the tarmac. The plane had the words "USB" written on it, along with two flags. Several diplomats walked out of the plane, and the Admiral greeted each of them with enthusiasm.

Pikachurin recognized one of the diplomats as N Reeki, the leader of the United States of Backyard. He saw him in a documentary featuring the Pandemic alliance.

"The runway's fine. Is there anywhere specific that you want me to go?" Atler tapped him on the back and started speaking to him in German. "It is...?" Atler replied with a single word. Ja. "Well, I'll be. You're...Pikachurin, correct?" He then turns to the Admiral. "And you are Admiral Schwarze, correct? It is good to be here." Markus and Atler began looking up all sorts of things about the two in their books. They compared notes and saw that neither noe had an entry on Schwarze.

"Ah, I am suprised. Not many outside previous alliances know who I am - of course, the people I attack do, after I begin blasting them to hell, of course." He turns to reveal his understudies. "This is Hidolf Atler. I'm afraid he only speaks German, but he is a good military strategist."

erwin-rommel.jpg

Hidolf responds with a simple "Guten Abend." when translated says "Good Evening". N. Reeki then turns to his other understudy. "And this is Markus Wilding. Along with German, Italian, Japanese and Russian, he speaks English, so he can serve as a transator between Atler and the rest of us."

tn2_adrien_brody_4.jpg

Wilding bows a bit then says, "Hello Admiral, Pikachurin." N Reeki turns back to face the two. "Wildng serves as our Secretary of Internal Affairs, and Atler is literally the top general besides me. Anything Atler says goes unless I overrule it." N Reeki then notices the Wehrmacht eyeing the Admiral and Pikachurin suspiciously. N. Reeki chatises them in German and they look down sheepishly and unload their weapons. "Sorry. Every member of the Wehrmacht is sworn to protect our lives at all costs, that's why they have a disdain of people they don't know."

Pikachurin shook hands with Atler and Witling. "I'm actually surprised that you know me. I haven't done anything signifigant in Planet Bob." He looked at the members of the Wehrmacht, then said, "I completely understand your guards' suspicion. With the Karma War going on, I'm quite sure that someone will try to assassinate a dignitary in order to lower the morale of that dignitary's nation." Pikachurin scanned the tarmac for any assassins. The place did not offer any cover, so they can't be hiding anywhere. "The Executive Security Forces, me and my diplomats' personal guard, should be joining with us momentarily."

"Let me introduce ourselves. This is Wallace Muddkip, my Minister of Foreign Affairs. He can speak six languages, including English and French. This is Cynthia Celeste, my Minister of Internal Affairs. This is Rowan Atkin, the Executive Triumvir. This is Spencer Fowl, the Legislative Triumvir. And this is Jack Chiron, the Judicial Triumvir." They all shook hands with Atler, Witling and Reeki.

OoC: Reeki, is your RP board still active? It looks interesting.

OOC: I'll shoot ya a PM. Also it's Wilding, not Wilting. ^_^

IC: "Hello to all. I am glad to meet all of you. Well, Pandemic's business in this war is officially over, so right now we're working on building up for an official navy." He then turns to the ADmiral. "I assume that there is a meetingplace ?"

He smiled and explained "But of course there is. What kind of a host would I be to not provide you all with a meeting place. The Grobes International Conference Hall is about a ten minute drive from here depending on the route you take. Are there any questions concerning Reine Wald, myself, or MVM Incorporated before we move on? The Radar station just called, they say they see no inbound aircraft."

"I'll answer Mr. Pikachurin's question first. Reine Wald underwent a severe Civil War that lasted 5 years, and two years into the war some diplomats from a neighboring nation were invited to join a ceremony that was to mark the end of that war. The ceremony ended however when guerilla forces bombed it resulting in the death of many officials and the diplomats."

Apartment_bombing.jpg

He sat down in his chair and looked out the window.

"It's truly a shame. But Prince Freidan came along and made things better. That is that."

He shrugged it off and stood up. As he looked over at Mr. Reeki, he chuckled.

"To be honest the structure has yet to have been completed. Reine Wald was formerly a Principality however after Prince Freidan passed away, it's more of a Federal Republic. Most of the ministers and secretaries of the various administrative departments are all former colleagues of mine from the military. Mr. Bleiss here served with me in several wars and has been with me for 17 years now. Any other questions?"

No one else asked any questions.

Pikachurin took out a handheld transceiver and issued a command. In an instant, the door of the Government of Disparu's plane opened, and seven guards came out. The airport security looked surprised, and immediately began to run towards the plane when Pikachurin said, "Let them pass. They're the Executive Security Forces, our personal guard."
