Agostinho Neto
The Enclave has arrested a longtime socialist activist and detained a further six people for planning a demonstration. It appears the government has no intention of softening its hardline on dissent. Enclave Authorities in Albuquerque formally arrested dissident James Stewart, on charges of "inciting subversion of state power" yesterday. Stewart was detained for being one of the 150 dissidents who blocked Rio Communities silver mine and asked the Enclave to stop suppressing dissidents and occupying independent micro-communities in New Mexico. "The police delivered a notice to me telling me about the arrest," Stewart's wife said, adding she had been allowed to see him once after his detention. "I told him to just admit wrongdoing. I thought it could help his case. He said he was not wrong." The group, which consisted of seven people, were forcibly evicted from their homes in Rio Communities and relocated to Albuquerque county jail. Subtleknifewielder
Patriotism is by and large becoming an excuse for the government to make the people fear it, so that none will question ANY decision made by them. The Enclave is cleary hypcritical if they still claim to be the successor state to the old United States of America.

No, it seems that the American Union State is going down the same path as the United States of old. They are already stamping out civil rights. As with the Rio Community act, Drakoria condemns these actions. The AUS is arresting people over mere differences of opinion.

Comrade
Molakia wonders if American Nations enjoy watching civil rights destroyed. I am truely shocked that no nation has stepped in. Were it not in another Hemisphere (And we didnt fear Tahoe making our nation green) we would intervene. But be happy we can only fart in your general direction, so to speak. -Unknown Molakian Senator shortly after the daily pub run.

Agostinho Neto
Five suspected dissidents detained since last Saturday have been freed by the country's government. They were jailed ahead of the blockade of Rio Communities, accused of trying to destabilise the country. Speaking to reporters, an Enclave spokesperson said the Court adjudicated them not guilty of the charges of subversion to state power. "We were all sent back home at about 1:30 this morning, we are fine. We were treated well." said one of the prisoners. Try not arresting them at all, at least until you have a little more proof, then maybe you really will have turned a corner.
