Subtleknifewielder
"Fellow leaders, fellow nations, My name is Westly Davies. The period of darkness from the country of Promised Land is no more, and the time has come. You are due an explanation, and you shall have it. "Several months ago, two high-placed individuals of the Communist Party were found to have been assassinated, apparently by sniper rounds to the head. Barely a week later, there was an assassination attempt on the President, which was only avoided through sheer chance. We deemed it prudent at that time, considering these events and information uncovered by private investigators, to close our borders, an action that proved its worth when another week later, Government house was obliterated by an explosion with two-thirds of the Members of Parliament inside, and injuring both the President and Lady of Foreign Affairs. That same day, the Lord of Internal Affairs vanished, and is now presumed dead. "To keep order, martial law was declared, and strict measures were put in place for the safety of the people, measures to keep them calm until the situation could be resolved. And resolved it is. No more are we a democracy--we are now a nation ruled by the military. Rest assured, however, that though war is our proffession, the policy of this nation remains the same--that of peace and goodwill, toward those of similar mind. Any treaties we have are considered to still be in effect." "My apologies if this seems a choppy, abrupt speech, but I am not a politician, but a General in the army. "Any questions may still be addressed to our Diplomatic Corps." ***Transmission Terminated***

Subtleknifewielder
The Kingdom is sorry to hear of the bad news but welcomes Promised Land back to the world stage. "Thank you." -------------------------- "In addition to my earlier speech, I would like to lay out a few changes, not with our international policy, but our policy on travelling. Tourists whould expect heavier and stricter security at airports and at checkpoints at land borders." "Maritime visitors are asked, for their own safety, to now stick to carefully marked sea lanes when entering our waters. Any who violate this rule do so at their own risk, and we cannot be held accountable should something happen to them. That is all."

Subtleknifewielder
The Kyokujitsujins in Promisesd Land asks to be allowed to leave. We are not ones to keep someone against their will. You have our permission to go where you like. We hear that there is a new nation in Asia where you would be welcome.
JEDCJT
New England watches the situation with interest and concern. Despite our uneasiness, we trust that Promised Land will be in good hands. --- ***In Melbourne, Promised Land*** In their residence in Melbourne, two certain brothers and a dog sat on a couch, listening to General Westly Davies's speech. When it ended, they looked at each other. "So...should we be worried?" One of them asked the other, in a bit uneasy voice. Aaron Constantine shrugged. "Beats me, but I'd reckon that we should do fine. After all, we survived Kelikark, heh. " The former Prime Minister Jed Constantine rolled his eyes as he remembered the situation a few years back. "So you say." He paused for a bit. "But it was quite serious in the beginning, when all of this began." He said, remembering the day that he and Aaron had been visiting New Jerusalem, to visit the President. After some turn of events, the brothers went back home to Melbourne, where they were currently in. Aaron remained silent as he nodded. "Yeah..." Henry barked up a couple of times. mykep
The young Republican diplomat sat at the gate for so long that he overslept. A gaurd kicked him telling him to 'remove himself.' He looked at the open gate and called the head diplomat, who inturn called the Archon, who said, "He overslept the opening? I'll be over there in a hurry."
