Establishment of Protective Sphere

In light of the Dagestan Militant strikes on the border, the Senate of Drakoria has voted 72-28 to declare that the Caucasus regions to the north of Drakoria and to the south of the Greater Nordic Reich that are not under an established nation or nations are now protectorates of the Republic of Drakoria. The Senate stated in this bill, signed by President Drake, that any nation that wishes to be established within this region may apply to the President or the Senate for independence.

The reasoning behind this is that the militias and organizations born in the territory of Dagestan have spread into the rest of the Caucasus, and the Drakorian military petitioned for a protective sphere for military operations to be carried out.

After signing the bill, President Drake declared that criticism and thoughts by foreign nations will be taken and reviewed by the Senate and the President.

Statement by the President,

"I understand that this bill may be controversial, but I would like for it to be known that these protectorates will not be bound to Drakoria forever. Should a nation want to become free from this area, we will review their request. However, should arms be used against the Republic of Drakoria without prior diplomacy from one of these hopeful nations, our military will respond in kind.

Let it also be known that these territories can be annexed if the regions so wish. We will not force our dominance over an unwilling region."
