Diplomatic Overtures to Vaule

Recommended Posts

The Kingdom of Cochin wishes to improve their diplomatic relations with Vaule. We share a long border and that brings a lot of opportunity for trade as well as danger.

We propose a Non Aggression Pact with you. Such a NAP will be of mutual benefit to both our countries. It could have a 48 hour cancellation notice also.

We hope the Govt of Vaule will be interested in this deal.

The government of the VSR proposes the following text for a Non-aggression pact:

The Vauleya-Cochin Pact of Non-aggression

Article 1: Sovereignty declaration

Both signatories of this accord recognize the other signatory as being a sovereign entity

Article 2: Declaration of Non-Aggression

Both signatories of this agreement shall not commit, or provide assistance to an act of aggression on either signatory. Acts of aggression may be defined as, but not limited to: -declarations of war, military action, providing financial or tactical support to a nation, state, group or entity, which seeks to commit an act of aggression against either signatory.

Article 3: Reduction of trade tariffs

Both signatories agree to a reduction in trade tariffs for goods imported from the other signatory. All other trade laws decided upon by individual signatories shall still apply.

Article 4: Overflying rights for non-military aircraft

Both signatories shall agree to opening up of certain parts of their airspace for the transport of goods by the other signatory. The parts of the airspace open to the other signatory shall be decided upon in such a way that would not jeopardize the security of either signatory or its military equipment. Both signatories have the right to halt aircraft of the other signatory to carry out cargo inspections before permitting the aircraft to enter their airspace. Detailed information must be sent to the other signatory prior to the aircraft entering the other signatory’s airspace

Article 5: Land transit of goods

Vaule shall permit the other signatory (Kingdom of Cochin) to use the former RUSSIAN highway network to transport goods through Vaule over land. All vehicle convoys must remain on the RUSSIAN highway for the duration of their travel through Vaule and are required to have the appropriate identification and transit visas prior to entering Vaule territory.

Article 6: Cancellation clause

Should either signatory wish to cancel this accord, they are required to notify the other signatory at least 48 hours in advance. During the 48 hour cancellation period, the treaty is still in effect.
