This is Daiwa Central News, your Window to Yamato. As the main source of information concerning the Nation of the Rising Sun, we hope to privde the most up to date news to our viewers.

Interm Prime Minister Ishima Ryu has announced that the government will be giving all Kyokujitsujins a Yamato citizenship. After the fall of Kyokujitsu Teikoku, the Nation of the Rising Sun had been scattered, creating one of the largest diaspora in history. In order to bring back the nation together, Yamato will be allowing anyone who can prove their Kyokujitsu heritage to become a national. It is estimated that there will be over 50 million Yamato nationals when all the citizenships ahve been given out. All Yamato nationals will receive a National Identification containing the information needed to prove that the bearer is a citizen of Yamato. Secured with the latest encryption techonology, including the unique Fuyogo computer language, the ID cards are virtually impossible to forge or duplicate, ensuring that national security is not compromised.

Meanwhile, a new Immigration Control Law has come into effect. According to this law, all non-nationals cannot stay in Yamato for more than a week unless they report to the Immigration Administration Office to obtain an one-week extension. Only one extension is allowed per year. Exceptions are made to diplomatic/consular staff and their accompanying families, to workers contracted by the government, and to countries that have been given an exception by treaties. All non-nationals in Yamato are to carry with them at all times a Foriegner Registration Card which will be given upon arrival. Not having the Registration Card when checked will result in a fine of ¥5,000 and, if the authorities deem it necessary, deportation. This is for the safety and well being of residents in Yamato from hostile forces.

"I was under the impression that, Yamato being perhaps at least somewhat grateful to certain nations who took in large portions of the former DKT populace (or to the people who lost their nation due to their kindness to the DKT people), the government there might find it in its heart to be friendlier to us, particularly given the fact that the Hansa has traditionally lobbied for anti-oppression laws and good relations with "Hunted" people. I am sad to see that Yamato does not differentiate between one gaijin and another, and will instead treat a Hansan and a Marchar just as bad as they treat those who opposed their very survival."- Luis De Luit, leader of the Marchar.

There are numerous war criminals still at large in the international Kyokujitsan diaspora, on the run from arrest warrants issued legally by the former Kyokujitsan Occupation Government. Needless to say, if they are known to be in Yamato, their extradition to face charges will be expected.

Currently there are between five and ten thousand Kyokujitsans serving time in Tahoan Labor Camps and Prisons, a small fraction of those who have been held at one time or another.

Given the catch-all methods of Tahoe, we would like to have the warrants reviewed witht the international community. Although, considering that all of the "criminals" had turned themselves in at the disastrous trial in Beijing, it seems unnecessary for efforts to be spent on a fruitless pursuit.

Languedoc cannot even believe that 50 million Kyokujitsans even exist. Our recent intelligence place maybe 2-3 million, but 50 million? such nonsense. Yamato's propaganda will not be heard in THIS part of Europe

Obviously the intelligence agencies of Languedoc is faulty.

OOC: Last warning. Whine about my population again, and I will make sure you get a warning for the senseless whining/flaming, which seems to be all that you are capable concerning me. You're the ONLY one who does not recognize my pop multipler.

OOC: this has nothing to do with Population Modifier. This has everything to do with the fact that those people cannot in anyway have survived the nuclear holocaust that was DKT's final moments. There is no literal, virtual, or any other way that 50 million people survived. There is NO way that 50 million, your supposed entire DKT population, managed to escape PNG, through a blockade, in the amount of time between the DoW's and the Nuclear bombing. This continues to be a valid point which you blatantly ignore.

OOC:

1. The nuking happened at least two RP months after the start of the war.

2. There was no blockage against refugees.

Now, let go of your foolish notions, and accept reality. There will be no more discussion on this matter.

OOC: Actually there was a complete blockade. We did not let anything in and out, and yes, I would have made a special effort to sink refugee ships. Boohoo. The nuking happened days into the war, none of this RP month nonsense, it was real time. Not that it makes much difference any way, there are MASSIVE civilian casualties in either situation.

Functionally, its not a really big deal, but yes, you were nuked, yes you had massive casualties, sure you have a big diaspora, who cares, but 50 million? That was your pre-war population and close to it. A lot of them are dead now

OOC: Go read your own thread. You yourself recognized it took a month to get through New Britian, when Lynneth sent his nukes. Never mind how no one bother to block refugee ship when I made a post on them.

Such short memories. Now, if you still have a problem, make a thread in the open forums.

Landings started on the 11th of December, and by the 12th Kyokujitsan forces were pushed back to Rabul. That probably took a week or so in RP time. Less than three weeks between then and the invasion of New Guinea in RP time (in reality 3 days). Shortly after (about a week in RP) nuclear attacks commenced AFTER continual heavy bombardmant by land, sea and air. There were massive civilian casualties before any civilians got evacuated, massive civilian casualties before the nuclear attacks.

Did a bunch of people get out, sure. But 50 million, yeah right.

Kyokujitsujins in Promised Land would not be able to hear this announcement until the borders re-opened, unless they happened to be in high government circles or had friends in such high places.

OOC: Maybe not fifty million, but a lot more than you seem to think. I evacuated people from the island, and you did nothing to stop me. And I was hardly the only RP'er to do so, and you hardly did anything to stop them, either.

OOC: To make this point clear.

50 million people is roughy 1/6th the US pop, or about 6 and a bit times the pop of NY. Now, even large cruise ships can only hold ~3000 people, maybe ~5000 if you strech it.

So, to move 50 million?

You need 50,000 trips.

OOC: A cruise ship carries about 3000 people comfortably with most in their own rooms, with massive open spaces, room on the decks, and room for things like shops. I would say if you were to say, pitch tents on the deck, stick two families in each room, split things like shops for food distribution and living spaces, and leave the main eating areas free for food distribution, you could get maybe 10,000 people on a single ship, and move them for a good three to four days, or about 1800 miles.

(NOTE: This would also require dumping waste into the ocean to keep the weight as low as possible, and fuel could be an issue)

It wouldn't be pleasant, and you would have to scrap the amenities out of a big cruse ship, but you could get a lot of people a long way from home pretty easily.

It's still 5,000 trips, and still nigh impossible to get 50 million people out, but 1 million is definitely possible, and then when you factor in the ungodly birth rate that the CNRP world would have to facilitate maintaining populations in such war torn places, and in the crappy parts of the planet like Antarctica, nothing is impossible.

OOC: I'm all for letting people out but anything above a few hundred thousand during the war is laughable. After the war many more millions would have left, nothing stopped them and in fact their deportation was highly encouraged. That is when most of the survivors would have left, logically. Around 20-30 million, I'd say
