Centurius
OOC: Agreed upon with Margrave this will be a clean conflict none of us will be activating treaties or accepting Aid. IC: It had been a few months since the establishment of the Phoenix Empire, in the South Borders were still not as they were supposed to be until now forces were not ready to take the South as such Albania and Macedonia had been kept free from Phoenicians and Soldier, until now. 5,000 Soldiers were moved to the Albanian Borders, 25,000 more being mobilized and 60,000 on Reserve. Behind them Phoenicians ready to go back to their homes having heard rumors of a Central Government the Air Force was put on Hot Readiness and Provisional Conventional Missile Authorization granted. --- It was rainy at the Southern Border not a pleasant time to explore land but the Orders had been received and Colonel Mesic would carry them out. The Soldiers were lined up around 100 tanks close to them. The Colonel activated the radio to get in contact with Squad Leaders who would then again issue them to smaller teams. "Soldiers, this is Colonel Mesic I have just received Orders from Command to carry out Heritage, you are to carry out your Orders and explore the Albanian cities... Rules of Engagement; If he fires at you you fire in return... Your objective; Make the area safe for Phoenician citizens... Mesic out" At his Command the men started to move over the Borders starting to Secure town by town their first goals those close to the Borders to establish a base for additional Soldiers to come to their Aid their message was simple; do not resist. --- Operation Heritage Launched Jericho - The Glorious Soldiers of the Imperial Army today marched through the Temporary Borders of the Phoenix Empire at the South with the goal to bring Order and the love of the Emperor to the population in Albania. No Resistance is expected but Command has Ordered Soldiers to remain on stand by. Edited May 16, 2009 by Centurius
Margrave
Shkoder, Albania: The Noble Demesne of Strigia was still in its infancy, the recent establishment of the Margravate finally bringing together the various military forces of the territories under one central command. Unfortunately, this meant that even the best trained of the Margravate's soldiery was dispersed among the less experienced troops, making the military situation delicate at best. The citizenry of Shkoder, resident Albanians who had recently committed to the Strigian ideal, were shocked when Imperial troops were seen approaching the city, a warning alarm going off in the early hours of the morning. The soldierly elements of the city rapidly deployed, ordering a civilian evacuation to Barbellush in the south. As the southern end of town was rapidly filled with evacuees, much of the male population of the city remained behind, militia members aiding the Strigian Regular Army in their set up of defensive formations. Fortunately, the area was strewn with abandoned bunkers and concrete buildings, a sign of the constant struggle that had marked the Balkans since time out of mind. Additionally, Strigian construction companies had been dealing with the infant economy by building low lying, partially underground homes and offices, allowing the buildings to flow naturally with the surrounding terrain. Shkoder was a bottleneck in a mountainous territory, with the great ranges perilously close to one another, forcing any oncoming mass deployment of troops into a bottle neck. As the Shkoder Milita and the Strigian Regular Army took their positions, a radio message was sent forward from the commanding officer, a Major Petar Tarchanbrand, recently of Crete, with a laconic message to the would be enemy: You are trespassing in the territory of the Noble Demesne of Strigia. Identify yourself and cease your approach, or be fired upon.
Centurius
The Soldiers would only execute a small part of the Order namely the Identification. "We are Imperial Soldiers from the Phoenix Empire here to liberate you... Surrender your Soldiers and City and you will not be hurt... If you do not execute this Order we will engage"the reply was as Soldier fortified their positions and Tanks were aiming their weapons meanwhile Imperial Command was informed of the situation and was preparing a Squadron of PF-1s an adapted version of the Astrakhan AF-1 and B-2s to prepare for an Air Attack while Tomahawks were being Armed. The Soldiers were not light on weapons each had an Assault Rifle and sidearm in addition to knifes however as they were the invading party and looking at the area 5,000 Soldiers might face heavy resistance technology could not solve. This Territory already belongs to a nation, that of the Noble Demesne of Strigia. You are invading a sovereign nation. Stop now or face the consequences. Stop now or face the consequences. "This is getting no where"Mesic sighed. "Contact Command get them to give the last authorization for Attack and Confirmation of Air Support" Once the Confirmation was received the Soldiers moved at the Borders over 100 Tomahawk Missiles were launched towards the city coming from the Air Force bases not much later over 60 Fighters and 20 Bombers all using Stealth would bomb Military and Governmental locations not looking at potential other losses using the confusion Soldiers would now Strike over 1,000 prepared to move forward with the others staying behind to provide some cover behind them the additional Soldiers were coming in fast another message was send. "This is just an example of our might we have the Supplies to bomb you for a long time surrender"
hawk11
After the cruise missiles stopped raining down, the Shkodër militia climbed out of hiding and mobilized. The forty-thousand strong fighting force was ill-equipped, but thankfully every man had a firearm of sorts, whether it be their own or from the military arms depot left behind from the years of fighting. They were not mobile except for their own vehicles, and any support they were likely to get was coming from one of the more organized fighting forces. The majority of the firearms being used were Russian-made AK class rifles, primarily the AK-47. Some of the more organized groups of fighters had their own squad automatic weapons in the form of the Belgian-made FN MAG, however the commanders were trying to keep them at strategic points. Grenades were few and far between, however a large amount of the men had started siphoning gas from unused vehicles and raiding garbage bins for bottles. Thankfully ammo wasn't scarce. As preparations for the possible fight ahead continued on, officers began coordinating their forces and formulating defensive plans.
Centurius
As the Soldiers would be preparing the next wave of attacks would commence the Stealth Aircraft slowly descended at first dropping Normal bombs however this would be short term 5 minutes later the next wave of 10 Bombers came this time using incendiaries over known Military Depots located by Military Satellites while this information was quite reliable they had not located all depots and might hit other Military targets, Civilian locations would only receive possible damage from Conventional Bombs the other 25,000 now had arrived and established Positions with 600 tanks blocking Roads. When the initial runs were finished UAVs were send to locate what survived. Edited May 17, 2009 by Centurius

When the initial runs were finished UAVs were send to locate what survived. Under cover of darkness, a small military convoy had made it into the town. Carrying much needed rocketry and ammunition, the weapons were disperses throughout the regular forces into tight squads of "Air Killers" using shoulder launched SAMs. These "Air Killer" teams would run around with the grunt detachments who usually lured in Phoenixian Air Power, and take positions so that all members of a team focused on taking out one plane or helo. Although this was a waste of rockets in the eyes of some, destroying air power had been labeled priority, and the overkill would quickly reflect a difference on the battlefield. The line still held, with scattered trenches and fighting holes growing up over night for defensive positions. Artillery strikes would find targets, but not massed, making each round perhaps kill merely one or two soldiers. Strigian morale was made especially high when word became to filter through the ranks that there was a possibility of Strigian air power in the works, to respond to the superior air power of the enemy. More shoulder-launched SAMs were coming in the next convoy, but in between small convoys would be dummy groups loaded for bear and ready to respond to an attack. Having plentiful ammunition and good rations enabled the Convoy guards to be ready for anything that would attempt to stop their mission. Having plentiful ammunition and good rations enabled the Convoy guards to be ready for anything that would attempt to stop their mission. As frontlines were maintained several UAVs flew over the city to pinpoint artillery spots and ammo depots in addition to buildings that could be used as Bases of Operations by Enemy Soldiers after obtaining said information it was send to Imperial Command who would designate targets for the GPS Satellites after which the next phase of the siege would commence. Protected by a Full Squadron each 3 groups of 5 V-22s would approach Allied territory putting their contents on the ground in total 15 M-777s to be used as Artillery using GPS munition it would be able to hit targets with high accuracy up to 40km. As the Howitzers were deployed and manned the Fighters would return home waiting for further Orders. At the same time the Imperial Air Force was planning a dangerous move, a coordinated Attack on Major Cities throughout Albania and Macedonia to disable possible reinforcements. The Imperial Intelligence Department would attempt to obtain exact data on a possible Capital somewhere else. As the howitzers were deployed and put on their operations would commence. Soon the air was filled with Artillery Shells using the information obtained by the UAVs and guided by Military GPS once Artillery was cleared an Assault on the city would begin as such the Soldiers not operating the Howitzers would prepare for attack reloading on ammo, food and water for the long battle. Centurius
To obtain even more exact data UAVs would increase fly-overs and go lower while giving up a bit of cloaking they would obtain more precise data.
Centurius
Suddenly the Artillery fire would stop and for the first time in days there would be silence in the city, while there still were Soldiers camps were destroyed and tanks would return to the Border in addition there would again be transport aircraft to take the Howitzers, a message was send to the city. Imperial Orders received to cease fire and offer White Peace.
