ADI would be interested in opening a field office in your country. With the office, comes some national staff, discounts of 25% on all ADI services, 10% discount on all products and employment opportunities.

OOC: That twenty five percent discount could also be taken as "Buy 4 Assassinations, get one free!" if you so wish :awesome:

The Ministry of Justice of the Tahoe Republic is filling suit on behalf of claimaints registered with the Ministry of Labor and Industry and Ministry of Commerce against the entities claiming to be Gulfstream Aerospace, Lockheed Martin Aerospace and Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Gulfstream Aerospace is an asset owned by the General Dynamics Company which was founded as the Electric Boat company by Seán Pilib Ó Maolchalann, an Irish immigrant to Tahoe living in San Francisco. The Electric Boat Company eventually became General Dynamics after aquiring Canadair. Gulfstream Aerospace was founded as a part of the Northrop Grumman Corporation in 1957 in Seattle. Northrop Grumman is, of course, headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

Lockheed Martin was formed as a merger from the Lockheed and Martin companies. Lockheed was founded as the Lockheed Airplane Company in Hollywood California in 1926, while Martin was founded by Tahoan aircraft pioneer Glenn L. Martin in Santa Anna, California in 1912.

The Ministry of Justice is willing to settle out of court provided the corporate entities violating Tahoan copyright, trademark and libel laws change their name so as not to give the impression that Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin or Northrop Grumman are Ardorian corporations.

-Michael Fitzgerald, Attorney General of the Tahoe Republic

OOC: Yes, I know its unfair pretty much every major aircraft company that exists in RL started in Tahoe. Thats what I get for being one of the oldest RPers here, first pick from everything awesome. Now I control aerospace and computers (Apple, Google and Microsoft are all headquartered in Tahoe too) :P

OOC: Lockheed Martin is in Marietta. I should know.

Desator Industries wishes to move many of it's offices into 1180 Peachtree, in Atlanta. This would also be considered an expansion into Ardoria. We would also like factories located in Cumming GA, Suwanee, GA, and Norcross, GA. They would be responsible for a variety of things, but mainly toys and household products. Of course, the materials used would be completely safe.

OOC: Yes but it was founded in California. They only later moved to Georgia, thus I can still claim them :P

OOC: But there could always

A: Be different a Lockheed and a different Martin that end up the namesakes of an aircraft company

B: At some point have been disgruntled business partners who quit and formed a new company, but to keep the customer and trust base/ to stab their former partners in the back used the same name

As for Gulfstream Aerospace, he could say it never became part of General Dynamics back in 2001, which would mean it belongs to him.

Or he could go with the flow, I don't really care, it's all semantics.

OOC:

To A: Yes there could, but I have RPed the actual companies before

To B: More plausible.

Gulfstream was part of Grumman Aircraft Co. which is Northrop Grumman, which is in Tahoe, as I have RPed before and as in real life. It was only aquired by GD in 2001. Like I said, unfair but good for me since its what I get for being in RP first and for getting the best chunk of land on the world :P

IC:

The matter is currently being looked into and the Ardorian Ministry of Justice is launching an investigation into the matter. In addition, all of the other business applications have been approved.

IBBC and ADI, where would you like your offices to be?

After an investigation run by the Ministry of Justice, it was found that a series of clerical errors had led to incorrect information being released. The following corrections have been made:

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is operating as a international subsidiary of General Dynamics of Tahoe.

Lockheed-Martin used to own the Marietta plant, it is now owned and operated by the Marietta Aircraft Corporation.

Northrop Grumman Ship Systems is an archaic name, replaced by Savannah Drydock and Shipbuilding and the Roanoke Ship Systems.

As soon as trade opens to Ardoria, the Sovereign Wealth fund makes a 10% market wide investment in all firms in the country, and a 20% investment in all firms in the industrial sector. The net result is a major domestic market value surge in Ardoria. Estimated cost of invesmtent: 250 billion. Source of investment: Untapped nuclear relief funds.

However, several of the purchases were blocked. The new laws had capped foreign ownership of Ardorian companies at 15%, rising to 20% in six months. In addition, several companies have not yet had IPOs, such as Wal-Mart and Wachovia.

Trades were held as appropriate with domestic laws and ownership would be phased in at the domestic government's allowance. Trade Minister Wilson Tanner from Dragonisia formally requests a conference with the trade minister of Adoria to discuss new trade relations including possible preferred trading partner status and a relaxation of tariffs, if not an outright free-trade zone.
