After much deliberation, WOLF is officially becoming a formal alliance. We will be running under the helpful hands of Nob and KoTC for a bit.

By the signing of all the founders of WOLF (Warriors of the Last Federation), and leaders of Nod, WOLF is hereby recognized as an official alliance on the Planet Bob.

As a formal alliance, WOLF agrees that they will do what is necessary to abide by any and all treaties, and will always work to keep peace between WOLF and other alliances.

WOLF also will hereby be known as a defending alliance and will strive to never attack another alliance without being attacked directly or indirectly by another alliance.

From WOLF:

X. A Lone Stranger - Emperor

X. Programming101

X. Jeepwrangler

X. james18

From Nod:

X. AllanKalashnikov

From KoTC:

-Preamble

WOLF will always provide freedom to its members and will strive to eliminate tech raiding as best WOLF can. This constitution, if ratified, will be kept in the hearts of our members and government. No one shall be above it.

-Government Structure

There shall be one emperor. The emperor shall have the final say in any alliance matters or any foreign affair matters. No one may run for this position. Only the people can declare an emperor with a 2/3 vote by the people.

There shall be one president. The president has the power to override any decisions made in the allianc, unless said decisions are made by the emperor. The president is appointed by the people with a majority of votes.

There shall be one vice president. The vice president is picked by the president and shall only have powers if the president - for whatever reason - can not perform his task.

Senators shall consist of 10% of the population, or 3 members of the alliance - whichever is more. The senate will always be of an odd number to keep from ties when voting. It is the role of the senate to make adjustments to the constitution, ratify treaties, and appoint judges with a 2/3 vote. If there is a tie in voting for the president, a 2/3 vote of the senate will be sufficient enough to vote a president into power.

It is the right of the people to vote for their government officials, impeach government officials, and appoint a new emperor (abiding by the guidelines in the constitution) if they believe the government has become corrupt.

-Imperial Decrees

Imperial Decrees will be made only in important instances. Anyone attempting to make such a decree in the name of the emperor will be ZI'd or pZI'd.

-World Affairs

WOLF is a defensive alliance, therefore no wars shall be declared by WOLF as a whole. WOLF will strive to remain as peaceful as it can, even if WOLF has enemies.

The only way WOLF as an alliance will come to a state of war is if either there is a 2/3 vote from the people, or WOLF is declared war upon by another alliance.

All WOLF nations are free to war with whomever they choose so long as they have proper permission from a senator, the president, the emperor, or an appointed official. However, it is that nation's responsibility to pay off any reparations necessary.

-Treaties

WOLF promises to uphold any treaties until the ending treaty date is reached.

-Founding Members

Founding members will always be given the utmost respect - even if they are not in the alliance. While the people have the right to disagree with the founding members, they may not under any circumstance flame, troll, or otherwise mock the founding members.

Punishments will vary depending on the offense and will be tried by the emperor or senate.

-Ratification

This constitution is hereby ratified by the signing of the following founding members:

X. A Lone Stranger

X. Programming101

X. Jeepwrangler

X. james18

I'm slightly disappointed. The other were funnier. Welcome to bob though.

edit: after reading through the charter I got a feeling that it is going to have to be revised but you'll notice the problems when you get to them, of course you can just ignore the charter most alliances do anyway

I feel like this entire section contradicts itself.

This is a much better announcement than the last one. Good luck to you, being formal is way more fun than informal.

You get to wear tuxedos!

Yay! :D

There is always room for amendments. The constitution is definitely not final, it's just something I wrote up in 5 minutes. :P

I agree. That section looks like an attempt to have their cake and eat it too. Then have someone bring them some more cake, except this time with ice cream on the side.

Good luck with this, it's certainly a step in the right direct in comparison to the previous two announcements I read of yours.

Why bother writing a charter if you don't intend to follow it? *sigh*

Anyway welcome to the game as an official alliance.

We will be putting it up to vote, but red seems to be the team we want.

My advice? Stay there. Long ago I helped form an alliance on Red and once we grew a bit more politically savvy and learned about certain policies, there was a bit of internal drama and we ended up moving to Orange. None of us liked it, and it was a pain to reorganize trades.

My guess is that policy won't be affecting you.

I'm just calling it as I see it. When most alliances stop bending their charter when it fits or they realise it's horribly written I might change my mind.

Latest IRAN drama is a great example of a case where the charter was completely disregarded.

Technically there was no way we *could* follow the charter, one of the Triums needed to be removed and there was only 2 Triums left, and since you need a 2/3rd vote, it sort of made a paradox, it was messy, but we're better off for it.

I bolded the part that applied most in IRANs case.
