Captain Flinders
Normally they are pretty easy to figure out but this one is really giving the old gray matter a work out. Help? Event Description: Massive toxic leakage has been detected in your nation endangering the lives of your population. To fully cleanup the mess a national forest will have to be destroyed. Option 1: Organize a full cleanup effort. 2 points of damage to environment. Option 2: Organize a partial cleanup effort. 1 point of damage to environment, Citizen count -1%. No Response: Citizen count -5%. Now obviously the loses are going to be relative to my nation but does anyone have some numbers I can crunch as far as the effect of environment on population? Iamrecognized
As a quick guess, I would say #2. But it depends. If you currently have enough things (government settings, resources, land, border walls, etc) that would allow you to take environment damage without actually hurting your evironment because it would be better than 1+GRL if that were not impossible, then Option one would be better. I think, however, that a point of environment is more than 1% population, and a happiness/income penalty of some kind. In which case 2 would be better. Obviously, no response is the worst.
