Botha
Foreign Minister Hendrik Strijdom announced today that Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Transvaal General Petrus Malan does not want any removal of the Franzharian legacy in the soon-to-be-reannexed provinces. As Foreign Minister Strijdom told Pretoria's small contingent of diplomats: "It is this government's intention to respect and honour the history of those provinces during their time of succession from the old Federal Republic. We shall leave up all imperial flags and signs until they collapse or fall down from old age. The Provisional Military Government wants to show the rest of Africa that we are not invaders nor occupiers. We become the provinces back into the Fatherland yet we do not wish to trample on their own unique history."
