Sargun II
Artemis Global Security used to have Italy. It gave Italy to Gebiv when it was gone. Why? Because it trusted Gebiv not to give it to tyrants, fools or Nords. Unfortunately, two out of three of these have been violated. And the ex-Founder of Artemis was pissed. Beyond pissed. Horribly pissed. And so he did something about it. Loyal citizens to both Gebiv and Artemis existed inside of mainland Italy. Of course, the technology of the new country was beyond limited. They were possibly one of the most inept nations on Earth. This would be a pancake. --- "Good sirs and ma'ams. Gebiv has given your land to an idiotic country full of baboons and buffoons. And we will take it back. You know what to do." Hiley closed off the closed communication between himself and the teams in Rome. A few dozen operatives started spreading through Italy. In a few hours, they'd start doing what they did best: sabotage. --- At the same time, several civilian flights to Italy were changed. Instead of a few hundred passengers, a few dozen commandos suited up and got on. It'd be a fun ride. Military transport planes took off from air bases in Shreveport and Kansas City. This wouldn't be a very large-scale attack. (OOC: This is all classified at the moment. I'll flesh out the details later.) Subtleknifewielder
OOC: And, of course, I realized that he doesn't have the SoI to have Italy. Rules say unless you fight for it you can't have any land outside of your SoI. He not only does not have Italy but because he doesn't have Italy this didn't happen. Thanks. OOC: I believe the rule is--unless you fight over it or it is given to you by another player. Other than that statement, count me out of this. Other than that statement, count me out of this. OOC: In a RP'd IC sense. A OOC gifting does not have any effect. It must be a IC action, Rp'd out. (not just a IC version of the OOC leaving gifting.) Markus Wilding
OOC: *double post cause i'm too lazy to edit* Right from the map thread, Sargun. My claims over Morocco now go to Gebiv and Gebiv's claims over the Italian penninsula are now mine. I'm sure Gebiv will confirm this whenever they get a chance. Sorry for the late confirmation, but I've been busy preparing for mother's day and all. And Balomesh RPed moving to Italy in his news thread. Sargun II
OOC: I searched Gebiv's posts. Not a single one other than that even mentioning anything to do with Italy. I can claim that I move to Spain but without the SoI to do it I still can't. Furthermore, I'd need Gebiv's permission when I move, not later. Lord Frost
Montpellier Naval/Army/Airforce Complex, Languedoc The staff Lt. hurried down the corridor of the main administrative building of the large Base complex at Montpellier. "Sir, just received orders from Central" the Staffer said, putting a closed envelope on General Charles de Gaulle desk. He opened it, reading carefully. "We'll be lucky to make room for this amount. We'll have to clear the runways of all craft" he said with a frown. "Alert Jacques Air Base, that's nearby isnt it? yes thought so. Tell them to make room for 4 military transports, we have room for 20 of them here" he ordered. The staffer nodded. **highly secret, classified** At both the Montpellier Complex and Jacques Air Force Base just a few miles north, Languedoc craft were being put away to make room for nearly 2 dozen large transports. Meanwhile, ground transport vehicles were bringing in what almost seemed to be a divisions worth of soldiers...
Sargun II
Montpellier Naval/Army/Airforce Complex, Languedoc Twenty large military transports that had flown across the Atlantic were starting to land here. The large base (and Jacques up north) had enough room for the planes and nearly 5000 soldiers to dock, refuel and prepare. The soldiers would be moved from Languedoc through the Mediterranean and into New Italy. It would be fast. "I need General de Gaulle. It appears that their influence is a bit more widespread than we thought. We'll be landing in Rome and Napoli on the west and moving to cut the entire country in half. Our infiltrators have already been set in place." General Armin Tanzarian smiled with a cigar in his mouth.
Balomesh
At once the entire city of Rome, once glittering with lights went dark. Phone calls where cut off, street lights stopped working. Loss of communication and electricity has now effected the whole of New Italy. The nation seemed to be at war, but the identity of the enemy was unknown. Air raid sirens kicked in about a half and hour after power was lossed. The military provided minimal light to the city streets they raced down, not really sure what they where supposed to do. They had to follow orders by voice, and where left scattered and confused throughout the countryside, in cities, and on the beach. Moon light was somewhat of a blessing, avoiding the crushing of any pedestrians, but preforming any defensive duties was near impossible. There was no contact with the high command, and for them there was not contact from Il Duce. It took a few hours and city after city began to fall into blind caos. It was gray and rainy today; perfect conditions for a good fight. De Gaulle was waiting, already reading what General Tanzarian said just as he arrived. "Sit down, please" De Gaulle said, in decent Basic "I just received word about this little operation. 6000 men: your 5000 plus another 1000 of our own Marines. So your plan is just a straight forward march through Italy then?"
