Festning Norsvea

Norsvea has always been in a spot ready for attacks, however with advancing technology, new fortifications and defenses are needed to compliment the natural defenses of Scandinavia.

The fjords have always been a death trap for enemy ships, but complimenting them to make them impossible to invade from is the goal. Thermite mines have been placed in underwater fortifications all across the arctic and north sea coast to be released at the push of a button. A total of 12,000 flak guns, 17,000 bunkers, and 1000 artillery stations have been added to the NACD system. Anti-air guns and SAM sites have been added to this system and are aligned in a 100' grid for 2 miles inland. The Norsvean Arctic Coast Defense System is all connected by underground tunnels linking to military bases in classified spots in the mountains.

The mountains are another thing which slows enemy advances when coming from the arctic and north sea. To complement this, a similar anti-air system has been added to the mountains, and stretches as far as the Norsvean mountains go. These are connected to the same underground tunnels. In addition to this, anti-infantry and anti-armor boxes with weaponry imported from other Nordlandic nations have been used and added to the underground defense system.

Even with all the emplacement defenses, the armies assigned to defend that area are all face painted and dressed in white camoflauge and the tanks painted white. In the south, near Oslo, the Germans have been allowed to place defenses on the southern coast in the Jutland straights. In fact, all troops' uniforms were outfitted with a material to greatly reduce thermal and infrared imaging. ((Source, the tech share with VZ gives me ))

Somewhat of a same defense system is along the baltic coast, except that the defenses are more heavily concealed and armored.

Fifty thousand troops have been deployed to the ADI-Norsvean border, hidden in the mountains and the underground system within the mountains.

Underground Infrastructure Nearing Completion

As most of Norsvea was an underground bunker as a national order set in place after the GAE-Gebiv/Norsvea/Hansa/Prussia war, and created to be ready for expansion, building the Guerilla tunnels would be simple, however the tunnels going into the mountains will take some time to complete, but they should be finished at the same time as the emplacements and guns.

Mining Project begins in the Norsvea

Hæren survey teams have found deposits of silver in the Scandinavian mountain range. Engineers and miners have begun to dig through the mountains and find these large deposits. However, some fear that they may find the oil deposits deep inside the mountains and destroy the entire project. In order to control this, the Militær Ingeniør Korps has assumed control of the project.

OOC: Just a side note, this project has been going on since the end of the Slavorussian war, so it's pretty well near completion, the mines, tunnels, AA, and artillery are completed. The flak is going to be a bit.
