Mikhail and Rania were still packing boxes when they recieved the invitation to the party.

"Oooh, can we go?" Mikhail asked?

"Honey, we still have a lot of work to do here," Rania replied.

"What for? This house isn't going anywhere. Technically, this house is its own country."

"Fine," said Rania, "it may be good to have a little fun before our big move."

Mikhail rushed up stairs to get ready. He came out of the shower and put on a swimming suit, and then his dress pants.

"You're wearing a swimming suit as underwear?" Rania asked.

"What? It's formal-casual," Mikhail said, "plus, what if I want to play some volleyball while we're there?"

The two got in a helicopter that took them to the festivities. When it reached the park, it lowered itself to a couple of feet off the stage. Mikhail jumped out and landed on the stage, waving to the crowd as it cheered the manuever. He ran off the stage and up to the chairman. "You know I like to make an entrance," he said with a big smile across his face.

The King of Cochin arrived with his customary escort of Chaver soldiers. Accompanying him on his first state visit to Dragonisia was his cousin brother and Secretary of External Affairs, Dr. K.P.Varma. Bidding his guards to stand guard the King and his minister proceeded to the dias to meet his new allies.

The chairman turned and greeted the King, his good friend and ally, "Good to see you could make it given the trying circumstances to the north. I assume Tom Clark has already informed you of our position on the matter. We have your back 100% if things turn sour which I doubt they will with the strong statements I've issued, but you never know."

The Chancellor arrives, and head towards the congregation of world leaders.

In like manner as the group from Cainette entered the observation stands for the fireworks display they would be greeted by their host, "Greetings Chancellor of Cainette. You know.. while you're in state we should take some times to clarify the nature of our economy so we can get past that whole comitern affair. Would you mind taking a tour once the fireworks are over? That way I can prove to you that all critical industry is somewhat controlled by the state here as communal property."

Madame Unicorn arrives, having taken a short plane ride from her country, with her secretary and a couple of bodyguards.

Making her way over to the dignitaries and other heads of state, she notices the Chairman out of the corner of her and and walks over, extending her hand.

"It's good to see you, Chairman." the Madame says, a smile on her face.

His clawed hand was extended to her, "It's good to see you could make it. Welcome to United India." He chuckled.

President Landry read the text message as she exited her plane. Apparently a small confrontation was occurring. She walked toward the center of the celebration.

"President Landry, I'm glad you could make it. Party would not have been the same without our strongest ally present. I would say you're at least half the reason Asia is now so stable and thus responsible for the peace that now pervades this fine gathering." He shook Landry's hand firmly.

The two got in a helicopter that took them to the festivities. When it reached the park, it lowered itself to a couple of feet off the stage. Mikhail jumped out and landed on the stage, waving to the crowd as it cheered the maneuver. He ran off the stage and up to the chairman. "You know I like to make an entrance," he said with a big smile across his face.

"Indeed you do." He chuckled. "Come with me a second..." He lead Mikhail up to a Podium in the observation area.. below were gathered thousands of people in clear sight of the observation deck. He turned the microphone on. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the other man responsible for this day's celebrations, Mikhail the First!" The crowd roared.. The Chairman continued, "Mikhail, it is my honor and on behalf of the Dragonisian people of the province of Marscuria that I hereby grant you the rights as an Honorary lifetime governor. You will have the same, and full executive rights over this region as the actual Dragonisian state governor. If you still wish to help the people here, this will guarantee that you are the only "foreigner" with such a role who are able to do so. We realize this land is still in many ways your home too. The only restrictions to your power in this domain will be laws of the nation of Dragonisia and the laws the people of the Marscurian province later enact. Additionally, we have here prepared, dual citizenship papers granting you.. the only world leader.. to have Dragonisian citizenship. This will make you no longer a "foreigner" by anyone's definition. We would be honored, if you accept these gifts."

Mikhail leaned into the microphone, overwhelmed with emotion, "It would be my honor to accept this gift. And it would be my honor if you would accept this one."

A military helicoptor lowered itself down caring a canister. Mikhail pressed a button and the canister unrolled, revealing a map of India.

"I offer you the first map of a unified India!" The crowd cheered and roared, and in the background, the Marscurian flag was lowered from a flagpole, and the Dragonisian flag was raised.

The chairman chuckled, "It will hang in my office. Let the fireworks begin!" He slammed his palm on a red button and the largest and longest fireworks display ever to be presented on Bob began, at least so far as he was aware, .. slated to last over 4 hours straight at a casual launch rate. He waved to the crowd with Mikhail and lead him back to the observation/buffet stands with the rest of the world leaders.

"That went off well, very well done, sir." He would say to Mikhail as the smell of burnt gunpowder would slowly waft in on the wind. He picked up a leg of chicken and began to gnaw on it. He was now.. very hungry.

Right about the time the fireworks began, A man by the name of Richard Anderson happened to spot the man in the wheelchair.

'Could that be him? Nah...well, maybe.' He moved closer to investigate, and finally walked around to the front. He gave a neutral glance and nod to Martens, then turned to face the...er, chair-man.

"Lynneth? Is that you?" Like the former Chairman, his hair was showing his age, though otherwise no sign of his aging could be seen.

The plane ride was fairly uneventful, bar the usual married couple-type ribbing, but before too long, Ranather and his new wife Cassandra would arrive at this interesting little event. The heat of India was much like that of Somalia and Angola and, for a Nord, Ranather looked oddly at ease in the Tropical weather.

"So much like home."

"With a good chunk of our Ministers engaged in intense work, our Prime Minister overworked and our Monarch recently gone missing, Viniland is not in the best condition to send a representative to the celebration. We, however, congratulate Dragonesia for their outstanding achievement and hope that the united India will last a long while."

Martens grins, finishing his cake, and nods approvingly. "Messenger of War then. I like that. At least I am not pestilent, heh."

He remains after that pretty much in the background, not interacting much, watching the fireworks as he sips from a champagne glass. The smell left behind by the fireworks reminding him a little of war.

As Martens, Lynneth would be staying in the background, merely drinking water that he had brought himself.

"No, you are not the first messenger, of Pestilence. That is the Rukia, bringing Pestilence in the form of decay and destruction to any state he resides in and tries to rule. The third is the Baron, Famine. Where he walks, the third horseman follows swiftly, in the form of emptiness and mental hunger. The last is the frail, old man sitting before you...Destined to make the other three meet their end in the form of the scythe-wielder. I thus am not to die before you are ended, Kaiser."

OOC: While I did try to bring some sense into the tankchairman's ramblings forget not that they're just that: Ramblings, those of a madman.

IC: Anderson returned the nod and smile, not sure what to say, as Lynneth hadn't made a spoken reply.

"You have to admit, he has a point. Every nation you have attempted to rule has collapsed in one way or another. Only time will tell if his predictions about your most recent one come to pass."

"You may try to rule in peace, but war, through nordic culture that you are embracing, made by the second messenger, the Kaiser, will eventually bring you back to your old ways, Rukia."

Interestingly, Lynneth possessed a cane, currently fixed to the side of his tankchair. He took it, pointing at Ranather with it, knowing that there was a sword hidden within the cane which he could unsheath in a moment's notice.

"You think you have accepted your fate, yet you still are haunted by things event you know not yourself. Some things are inevitable, Rukia. The roles of each of us, as messengers, we cannot escape."

"Very well, Gerard, please have a seat. I'll explain to you how my government works." He gestured a few blocks down the street from the lake at a building off in the distance to their right along the lakeshore. "That is Wonder Hospital. It was originally an Indochinese Institution. It has been taken over by the government. Basic medical services are completely subsidized by the government, optional medical services such as cosmetic services are left open to the free market as they are not required for anyone to live, and more expensive medical services such as major surgeries are completely covered by the government if we pick the surgeons/doctors.. if we do not, then we pay more like 80% of the bills for our citizens. It lets them have some choice over who performs the work without completely eliminating their personal preferences in doctors. Pharmaceuticals are completely subsidized by the government. Price controls are enforced.. wages are set by the government in such a way that balances the need for skilled labor versus the privileges provided to the citizens of our country who are practicing doctors. This results in a fair labor rate and a high standard of living. We have to keep our doctors content to keep them here while preventing them from gouging."

He gestured over at a supermarket in the foreground of the hospital, "Dragonisian General. Government subsidized convenient store. Provides fresh water, and free food to all citizens as they need at a basic level.. mostly meals ready to eat. They can pay a bit of their own money and get a higher quality of food, but no Dragonisian has to starve.. and it is guaranteed."

He gestures at the lights that light the stand area, "Power is free to all citizens, government provided. Likewise so is water."

To the left down their lake shore he points at a relatively boxy and unaesthetic structure, "Government free housing complex. Each citizen is entitled to a 15x15 room with a mattress and a window as well as basic temperature controls, food, water, shelter, internet to help with job searching provided at government terminal, and community owned games they may play. It is meant as a temporary shelter. Those who are truly disabled and will not ever recover for work are moved into government apartments which are much nicer, but they must prove their need."

"As you can tell, there is a high degree of centralization. This is where we start running into what I call the.. 'hybrid market theory' which I strongly endorse. In all other industries, government is a participant.. however, we do allow other public companies to compete. What does this mean exactly? It means that in the public drinks industry.. we have our own bottling company that produces Drago Soda, the state drink. We have the state auto company that produces our multi-hybrid power supply Dragonstar vehicles, we have the state bank, the state investment bank.. and they all compete with private institutions. There is exactly 1 government institution per sector. While the government strives towards minimalist cost-leadership.. the public companies strive towards luxury. This forces all public industry companies to remain fit and competitive or they will lose their market to the government or another competitor while at the same time guaranteeing the people of the nation they will always have a cheap, safe, basic option for products in all areas. It is the ideal economic solution. It is the optimal outcome in generalized socialist theory." Maelstrom noted. "Oh, and everyone in this crowd has a guaranteed pension if they simply can prove they worked the hardest and best they can for their country and their fellow man here throughout their lives.. and they serve the mandatory 1-2 years military services in our armed forces." Maelstrom concluded.

"Hm." Martens had learned several things in his life, one of them was not to underestimate the words of madmen. Sometimes, people went mad after coming to horribly truthful realizations after all.

"Well I do hope that Ãœberstein and I do not meet anytime soon. He seems to believe we're some sort of baby-eating Hitlerist Sect. How ungrateful, I had saved him from destruction several times. But I guess I can forgive him...the man is old, he must simply be senile."

Though in reality, Martens was pained as he knew he had lost a friend. He wondered how long it'd be until Ãœberstein tried to orchestrate some war to try to destroy Nordland.

Anderson simply glanced at Martens, a raised eyebrow the only expression on his otherwise neutral face.

For once, such a reply was simply from not knowing what to say. For a long time, his nation had opposed the ideologies set forth by both Uberstein and Martens. To now have to choose sides was an interesting dillemma.

"Old? No, he merely is doing his duty as third messenger. In the end, it will be I who triumphs over the three others, yet losing everything in the process."

In the blink of an eye, the sword in the cane had been unsheathed, the Chairman moving it faster than one would ever expect. The tip was, for seconds, at Martens' throat, before it was back within the cane.

"I am now eighty-four years old, Kaiser. And still I am quicker than others. Not always does senility come with age...But sometimes, enlightenment." The pattern of his speech had changed significantly, no longer did he pronounce random words stronger than others. During these short seconds, Lynneth seemed to look decades younger, though now his true age was beginning to show again.

He leaned back in his chair, and sighed.

"I could have ended it now, yet I did not. The time for you has not come, neither has it for me.

I will withdraw, for now. Goodbye."

With this, the man moved his hands to the controls of the tankchair and began moving it away from Martens and the others. Within minutes, he would be out of sight.
