Generals, War Department Prepare for Random Attacks

Earlier today, widespread rumers of an upcoming war passed through the Talpanesse Intillegence Agency (T.I.A.), causing widespread panic throughout the offices of the agency. Spokesperson Wesely Jones stated that with Talpans size and strength, war seems unlikely to come. Many northern cities, like Resyl and Platsben seem unfazed by the war speculations. Representive Chad Reich stated "With all of the industrial rescources we have recieived in the past few weeks, we should not be concerned. Our main priority is to keep our civilians safe, and our border gaurds are doing just that"

Southern Cities, such as the capital of Talpan, Solio City, turned into pure chaos as the rumors of war leaked out onto the streets. Solio City's geographical position makes it a prime target for incoming air raids. Troops had to be pulled in to stop the soon-to-be-riot. Civilian Anna Queens wondered why somebody could just delclare war on Talpan. "It just seems crazy, If they want something from us, then why don't they just ask first."

Preisdent Jimmy Chang, who was in a meeting with Secretary of State Paul Creighton at the time, was informed of the impending attacks. Chang was reported to quickly move of his meeting to contact the Deparment of War and moving the peace time levels of DEFCON 5 to DEFCON 1. A presidental address later followed, with Chang stating 'This could or could not be the next great war. We will just have to wait and see'

All residents in Southern Solio City were temporarliy moved to bomb shelters. No word has been passed if the residents have been cleared to go back to their homes.

In the case of war, Talpan announced that it would take commands from thier alliance, the Western Empire.
