It's likely they're just securing their borders in case somebody is paying little enough attention to the war to notice their coup, election fraud, fear-mongering and likely upcoming suppression of leftists. There is little other nations have to fear at this point, as their military is not yet large enough to pose a threat to anyone in the region, and if it was and they did, they would be handled. As most of the old policy where simply tossed out by the Fascists, all new one are saught, and needed quickly to keep the nation intact and stable. During the meeting, former General of the Army, General Ha-Neul Sakut was named secretary of the National Fascist Party. He stated, "The longevity of the first Fascist Congress was not in vein...I believe the meeting was very productive, and its settled policies will work to stabilize the State and spead national advancement towards our ultimate goal. Empire." The following is a list and explanation of 2 of the "accomplishments" of the Congress of Cassablanca 2009. 1) The national Confederation of Industry (Confindustria) had, before today's Congress, been largely self-governing. These big industrialists where among the first to pledge support for the Fascists during the April Coup, but remained almost free from the State, enjoying excessive freedoms while sending generous gifts to Cutlass's Fascist Party. Helping to pay for the retraining and rearming of the State armed forces, even donating all new uniforms. Full economic cooperation was desired by the new government, but the Confindustria remaind far from their jurisdiction. This ended today, when they ceased to be purely economic and effectively became part of the State's political machinery. 2) The old policy of universal suffrage was effectively reversed and redrawn. Cutlass has passed a new law for future elections. They will be chosen by labour corperations along with other bodies within the Sate. These "bodies" will nominate 800 names from which the Grand Council (council created by Cutlass before assuming complete leadership and after uniting with former Nationalist party, composed of top level Fascist Party members) selects 400 to be passed to the electoarate for approval. Also, new requiements regarding elegibility to vote have been announced. Voting is open to all men and women of the Fascist Republic of Carthage, wh are at least 21 years of age, and have payed contributions to the corporations of passed one of several other unspecified tests. 3) Third was plan of several State programmes that will be announced later on, and the issuence of a new State institution. The exact date of when the programmess will take place is currently unknown. It is also currently unknown what each programmes and institutions will seek to attain for the State. General Ha-Neul announced publicly, "The army, education, labor, sports, and nationalism policies are to seek developement in the bodies and minds of citizens from childhood on, as well as a feeling of obligation for combat and sacrifice in behalf of the State." In the hopes of more rapidly increasing the Moroccan population, women are encouraged to have more children. Prizes are even awarded to cities with most prolific mothers. For men, all are given a special bachalor tax until marriage and freedom from all tax once fathering at least 6 children. Next announced was the State Restructuring Programme. A massive demolition and building programme seeking to rebuild the State from the ground up to glorify the success of the Fascist "evolution", not revolution. Many old, outdated, and abondoned buildings (many abondoned by their socialist owners during the April Coup) have been demolished and as much of the material as possible is recycled into new grand buildings. Huge sums have gone into this programme on building roads, government buildings, and housing projects to name afew. Last are the largest and most complex Worker Programme and National Unity Programme. Aiming mainly to make the State as self-sufficient as possible, doing so by massive increase in agricultural, light industry, and heavy industrial outputs. Blocking all attempts to install a State language, State religion, or any other measures that may cause a return to internal strife amongst the many cultures of the Fascist Republic of Carthage. Many new, once uninhabital lands are being brought to life, large lakes poisoned by excesses in salt, or other pollutants have been drained, successfully opening up fresh agricultural lands increasing output in this field, as well as securing space for new communities that shall intigrate all ethnicities, cultures, and languages together to mix and effectively unify them under one national identity. Also the Labour Charter of April 10, 2009 promises worker benefits such as social insurence, holidays with pay, and extra compinsation for nightwork and overtime shifts. This is highly reguarded as a more efficient and productive policy, and great success of both the Worker and NatU Programmes. Also, the leisure time of workers (so called danger-hour) has been targeted as a time for people to meet and conspiracize against the State. As well as to "wrongly criticize new plans put forth by the State that have not yet been given the time necessary to reap the benefits of their eventual, successful completion." To significantly lessen the threats of the "danger-hour" it has been decreed into law a National Institute For Post-Work Hour Activity. Uniting all athletic and sports societies, choral societies, bands, university extension groups, night schools, circulating libraries, clubs, and all of their properties under its control. We are told that once all excersizes where completed, a veriety of State defences where installed. On the western coast, large artillary batteries are being built aiming out across the Atlantic. In the Alps strategic fortifications are being laid. Meanwhile the mainland is being dottet with verieties of anti-aircraft defences. It has also been leaked of a massive military buildup and rapid deployment to the southern border with Naboo. When asked if this is the begining of the fulfilment of his promises to expand the Republic Cutlass stated, "I will keep true to my word. I hold this State supreme and will honor my promises to it. The begining will come when it comes, and only when it begins will you have your answer." They call for leadership to be by a king, like the late Cartheginian Empire the state seeks to return to. Cutlass's support is still strong and he says he has no plans to step down, and any socialist, or anarchist uprisings are "counter-evolutionary" and a high crime. A group has taken the lead of these protests, making it clear that they propose none of the old ideals but rather a monarchy, perhaps even alongside Cutlass. As the issue heats up, the Fascists move quickly to avoid another Civil War. In other news, all contact with the military has been cut-off. This station is no longer capable of revealing anymore military action for the time being. Although reports of military movements in southern towns persist. Allowing all citizens to vote to decide which will be King, because new election laws have not yet gone into full effect. The king would have very limited powers, and his decisions must pass through the Fascist Grand Council, but he would be greatly symbolic to the population, who feel they are truley on the path to returning to the glory of the Carthaginian Empire at its height. Citizens voted overwhelmingly for the return to power of Abasi, this time as monarch. Voting count was called off early when it became evident that Abasi was the most popular for the position, and the Fascist government msot likely do not want his popularity to be known for anymore than his election into monarchy. Despite this, Cutlass attempted to turn the victory into a victory for Fascism, "Look. Look here, for Fascism has given you yet more proof that we will succeed, that we will acheive, that we will return. To where? To empire!!" King Abasi stated apon his coronation, " I have been elected yet again to look over this nation as its father, but apon my entrance into the palace and onto the throne, my arms and legs where tightly clamped down. What I had been disabled in physical power, I enstrengthend in my voice.. and will prove to be more powerful than the freedom of all my royal limbs." His statement seems to symbolic express his limited power given up by the Fascist government, and the renewd strength in his national support. Further, this "monarch", while theoretically popularly elected -- and we in the Federacion note with extreme displeasure the closed nature of these elections -- has no real power, and merely serves to cement the power of this demonstrated aggressor, this beribboned and uniformed man who maliciously wields what power he can before he loses it. The Federacion calls upon the government -- whatever its present form -- of Carthage to open the results of the monarch's election to the world and to independent observers, preferably through a recognized international nongovernmental organization such as the White Cross. We would also call, though this request carries a lesser importance, upon the dictator of Carthage to fully incorporate the only elected representative of the people -- that is, the monarch -- into the governing process. Cabal Posted April 12, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 Pop Star Blasts Regime Haifa Wehbe, mega popular pop artist from Fascist Republic of Carthage Apon the completion of the Fascist Party Headquarters in Casablanca, a great festival was held. Lasting until midnight last night, the festival contained a minor military parade where the Fascist regime showed off its new arms to the public, a large horse race, even a short futbol game. Ending the festivities was a performance by the very popular,and attractive Pop singer, Haifa Wehbe. Performins several songs including the hit . But after her performance, and the long applaud, Haifa had some surprisingly critical statements towards the Fascist regime. "We have lost many of our personal freedoms, for what? Promises of Empire? Loud talk from a ruthless leader, and even louder rumbling from his new tanks? We have sold our sole to this man, to hear his voice tell us what we wanted to hear. We sought a solution out of the Civil War, but I know that this man will not bring it. He is fattening our country, until it is ripe enough for his liking. And when it is, he will consume it, and in his crazed hunger he will burn and with him our nation will burn. I call on all of you to stop this mad man before he drags our nation with him into an abyss of suffering and pain never seen before in our lands." Within minutes, armed troops where sent towards the stage but the massive crowd challanged the outnumbered soldiers in time for Haifa to escape. Shots where fired injuring 17, while 14 soldiers suffered minor wounds from being punched and kicked, while 2 others where trampled by the crowd before sending the rest back to regroup. Now Haifa has been branded an enemy of the State, and is sought by the Fascist government to face trial and most likely death. Her website showed video clips not of her performance, but of her speech along with a farewell to fans as Haifa goes into hiding.
