Sir Keshav IV
And where do you suggest this Railway line be built? As in which cities? Economic wise we are not in that sort of situation to worry to much.
sir jesus
An easy way to do that would be to select your own cities within your nation and just cover the costs of the rail-line to those cities. If you wish to include more cities the rail-line can branch off, with a higher cost of course. My engineers suggest that we build the main rail-line to be as straight as possible through the easiest terrain with branches going to major cities. What are your guys' ideas on this? Maelstrom Vortex
"Given our favoritism towards underground existence anyhow, we strongly favor this concept of international maglev subway sytems. But the best way to remove the threat from Foreign trade without hugely impacting your own nations is to simply staff to the size of the demand for through-put and to expand on the number of available access points to the border while maintaining a proper staffing level for security and equipment. If you do this, you keep the same throughput only paying for the additional expense of added government workers and capital equipment.. which actually can result in being a driving force of the economy. Remember, security is also an industry."
sir jesus
"Would all nations except Dragonisia and Beijing Corporation who wish to participate in this construction please mention so. I will instruct my engineers to begin plans once all member nations have been announced.
KaiserMelech Mikhail
"That's not particularly too bright," Mikhail said. "An above ground transportation system would be vastly superior because it would be substantially cheaper and easier to build and maintain. It would also be much safer, allowing rescue teams to go straight to the problem without needing to traverse a smoke filled, toxic tunnel. As for cargo, conventional rail would be better, given the ungodly amount of energy that would be needed to power the electromagnets to keep the hundreds of tons of cargo in the air." "Given our recently acquired access to Uranium and incredible progress in the area of nuclear physics, electrical power should not be a problem very long. Melvin Republic already has immense power supplies also. An under ground rail system can be much more secure from attack and more closely monitored and safety systems applied that would prevent a toxic cloud from ever being present in such a tunnel." Tom brought up another subject. "The seat of the Solarien Federacy is disturbingly empty. Has anyone heard from them in a while?" Tom would inquire. Sir Keshav IV
No we haven't. We also have access to Uranium (I do get trades sometimes) and it will be easy for us and we have the spending capacity as well. So we are alright with an underground rail. "We have heard nothing from your souther neighbours. Nothing at all" said CEO Keshav.
Sir Keshav IV
*CEO Whispers something in Tom Clark's ears* We are willing to join the Dragon Bloc if it is still open for new members. We think it might give lower members a boost and we think it'll have good effects as such we had when we were part of the Empire
Maelstrom Vortex
Tom smiled ear to ear and shook the CEO's hand, "Welcome back into the fold of South Asian/Paciifc alliance White Tiger. The Dragon just wouldn't have had the same claws without you." "Additionally, you're request for a portion of the protectorate lands in the east has been granted. We're reserving a section for Melvin Republic as he needs an in-road into the mainland. If he says he does not want it we will permit you to claim the rest. Once the outline of the changes are complete, we'll notify the international cartographer's association and other nations of the world of the new arrangement." Tom was quite content, the meeting was progressing very productively. Edited April 15, 2009 by Maelstrom Vortex
sir jesus
"Indeed, electricity is plentiful in the Melvin Republic. I agree that non-electric powered trains are more economic, but the military effects of an extremely fast protected rail system could be incalculable." President Landry sat down and eventually made her way to Tom Clark. As he told her the news, she began smiling. She had conversed with the Beijing Corp. before about preparations to enter the Slavorussian War. They would be an excellent addition to the team. sir jesus
I would suggest a land swap and annexation such as this: notice the South-Asia sea route. If/when you agree to this I will ask Sargun to change it. Also, the Beijing Corp. needs to clear their files as our private messages are being held by a backed up data system. Sir Keshav IV
Alright, this is more then adequate. We will accept it. OOC: Sorry bout that haha.
Maelstrom Vortex
"I'm glad to see an agreement has been reached without our even needing to arbitrate it on the fate of the Protectorate Zone. Dragonisia sanctions this and grants the land in accordance with this map's design." Edited April 15, 2009 by Maelstrom Vortex
